As of Sony’s October 1, 2026 announcement, Marvel’s Wolverine and Ghost of Yōtei are the first PS5 games confirmed to support Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR). Install the patch for either game, then select QSSR in that game’s graphics options. Sony has not named any other confirmed games in the announcement.
Which PS5 games support QSSR?
Sony’s October 1, 2026 announcement names two initial titles. It says each game’s patch adds QSSR as an additional graphics option on PS5.

Sony said the patches were available on October 1, 2026. The company also says QSSR will be made broadly available to PlayStation developers and expects other games to adopt it, but the announcement does not identify additional confirmed titles. Availability to developers is not confirmation that every PS5 game supports QSSR.

How do I enable QSSR?
- Install the latest update for Marvel’s Wolverine or Ghost of Yōtei.
- Open the game’s graphics options.
- Select QSSR from the available graphics choices.
Sony describes QSSR as a per-game graphics option in these titles, not a console-wide toggle. The announcement does not provide exact menu labels or a PS5 Settings path. If QSSR does not appear, first confirm that you are playing one of the two named games and that its latest update is installed, then check the game’s graphics options again. Sony does not specify further troubleshooting steps.

Is QSSR a PS5 Pro feature?
Sony describes QSSR as AI upscaling for PS5. It says the technology grew out of Project Amethyst, Sony’s AI graphics collaboration with AMD, and builds on PSSR with a more efficient neural-network architecture and an implementation optimized for PS5 performance. Sony describes PSSR as the higher-end upscaling technology on PS5 Pro; QSSR is the technology it is bringing to PS5.
That distinction matters when following setup advice: the QSSR instructions for these games are to install their patches and select the option in each game. Do not look for the PS5 Pro system setting called “Enhance PSSR Image Quality” as a way to enable QSSR; it applies to the separate, Pro-specific PSSR feature.

What visual improvement should I expect?
Sony says QSSR is intended to improve image detail and stability, but its announcement provides no numerical test results. It does not establish a particular output resolution, frame-rate increase, or guaranteed visual result, so none should be assumed from the announcement alone.

These are developers’ qualitative descriptions, not independent measurements.
