For subscriptions, KICK publishes the largest straightforward creator share among the platforms compared here: 95% to the streamer and 5% as a processing fee. That does not mean KICK pays every streamer the most overall. YouTube’s shares vary by revenue type, Twitch has a standard subscription split and higher conditional Plus shares, and actual earnings depend on audience, eligibility, geography, and the mix of subscriptions, ads, and fan funding.
Which platform pays the most?
If “pays the most” means the published share of a subscription, KICK leads this comparison. Its Help Center article, dated August 27, 2026, says streamers receive 95% and identifies the remaining 5% as a processing fee. In its example, a $5 monthly subscription pays the streamer $4.75. KICK’s revenue-split explanation also says the 95/5 split applies to KICKs.

For other kinds of income, there is no single winner based on these published percentages. YouTube publishes separate shares for memberships and fan-funding features, Watch Page ads, and Shorts. Twitch’s standard Affiliate subscription share is 50/50, while qualifying streamers may receive higher shares through its Plus Program. These are platform terms, not a ranking of typical earnings.

Why the largest percentage may not mean the most money
A percentage is only one part of the calculation. A streamer’s total depends on how many viewers they reach, how many pay or contribute, what monetization features they qualify to use, and which revenue sources their audience actually supports. For ads, the revenue base and eligible views matter; for subscriptions, the number of paying members matters. A large share of a small amount can be less income than a smaller share of a larger amount.
The published figures also use different bases: KICK gives a subscription split and a processing-fee example; YouTube specifies net revenue for several features and a share of allocated Shorts Creator Pool revenue; Twitch’s enhanced Plus shares are described as net subscription shares. They should not be treated as interchangeable percentages.

What to check before choosing a platform
- Which revenue source matters to you? Compare subscriptions with subscriptions, ad shares with ad shares, and fan-funding terms with fan-funding terms rather than comparing unlike percentages.
- Can you qualify? KICK says subscription and other monetization tools require Affiliate or Partner status. YouTube’s listed shares are conditional on eligibility and accepting the relevant monetization modules. Twitch Plus shares are also conditional.
- What is the payout basis? Confirm whether the share is of gross or net revenue, whether fees or other deductions apply, and how the platform defines the amount being split.
- Can you receive the money where you live? Payout schedule, payment methods, thresholds, taxes, and jurisdictional rules affect what you receive and when. KICK says verified streamers can choose weekly or monthly payouts, while non-verified streamers are paid monthly; jurisdictional thresholds may apply.
- Can you build the audience there? The best rate has little value if your intended viewers are elsewhere or the platform’s monetization features do not fit your content.
How the three platforms differ in practice
KICK: strongest stated subscription split
KICK is the clearest choice if your comparison is limited to the stated subscription share: its August 27, 2026 Help Center article says 95% goes to the streamer and illustrates the processing fee with a $5 subscription. You still need Affiliate or Partner status to earn through subscriptions and other monetization tools, and the headline share does not predict how many viewers will subscribe.

YouTube: several revenue streams with different shares
YouTube’s model cannot be summarized by one creator percentage. The published shares range across 70% of net revenue for eligible memberships and listed fan-funding features, 55% of net Watch Page ad revenue, and 45% of a creator’s Shorts Creator Pool allocation. Which figure matters depends on what viewers watch and which features the creator can use. YouTube says payment amounts are not guaranteed under its partner agreement.
Twitch: standard split plus conditional Plus shares
The official Twitch Affiliate FAQ search result states a standard 50/50 subscription split. Twitch’s Plus Program information lists enhanced 60/40 and 70/30 net subscription shares for qualifying Affiliates and Partners. A Twitch Blog announcement from June 15, 2023 described a Partner Plus 70/30 share and a threshold of 350 recurring paid subscriptions for three consecutive months; treat that threshold as historical program information, not a current eligibility rule. Check the current Help page, dashboard, and agreement for present requirements.
