In 91mobiles’ India-focused ranking, last updated 1 April 2026, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ranks first, followed by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 and Samsung Exynos 2600. The ranking uses AnTuTu as its primary measure, but the scores describe particular phone tests—not a guarantee that every handset with a given chipset will perform the same way.

Why the Exynos ranks third despite the highest multi-core score
The Exynos 2600’s reported Geekbench multi-core result, 11,249, is higher than the multi-core figures for the two chipsets ranked above it. That does not contradict the table’s order: 91mobiles says AnTuTu is the primary ranking measure, and the benchmark scores measure different things. AnTuTu combines CPU, GPU, and memory test results, while Geekbench reports single-core and multi-core CPU results.

- MAKE IT. EDIT IT. SHARE IT: Turn everyday moments into something personal with creative tools built right into your mobile whether it’s a special contact photo, custom wallpaper, an invitation or more³
- FAST. POWERFUL. AI-READY: Power through your day with AI-accelerated performance from our fastest, smoothest and most powerful Galaxy processor yet, built to keep up with everything you do
- IMMENSELY IMMERSIVE: No matter where you are or what you’re watching, your favorite videos and more come to life with the vibrant display on Galaxy S26
- FIT EVERYONE IN THE SHOT: Group selfies are easier on your Samsung phone with a wider front camera⁴ that captures more of the scene, so no one gets left out of the moment
A high composite score can help identify strong overall benchmark performance, but it is not a direct measure of every task. A single-core result, for example, should not be read as a gaming score or a battery-life rating.
Why later figures from 91mobiles differ
91mobiles’ separately maintained processor ranking, accessed 7 October 2026, shows highest-device AnTuTu scores of 4,033,382 for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, 3,568,720 for the Dimensity 9500, and 3,113,347 for the Exynos 2600. It retains the same top-three order, but these are not replacements for the April article’s figures.

Test conditions matter
91mobiles says its lab tried to standardize testing across devices: phones were tested at a temperature above 29°C and with battery charge above 50%. It also warns that results can vary with phone configuration, software updates, cooling, manufacturer tuning, and ambient temperature. The lab conditions make the published comparison more consistent, but they do not eliminate differences between finished phones.

The handset can change the result
A chipset is one component in a smartphone. Cooling design, the phone’s thermal limits, software tuning, and other configuration choices influence how performance behaves, especially during sustained work. The same chipset can therefore produce different scores or hold different speeds in different phones.
For context beyond synthetic scores, 91mobiles’ separate phone comparison, published 29 June and updated 22 July 2026, assessed sustained frame rates in BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile, temperature rise during extended gaming, and battery endurance through PCMark, as well as AnTuTu and Geekbench. It reported different leaders by use case: Galaxy S26 Ultra for its sustained-gaming and thermal-control assessment, OPPO Find X9 Ultra for its PCMark battery result of 17+ hours, and iPhone 17 Pro Max for single-core performance and coolest operation under load. These are findings from that comparison’s tested phones and conditions, not universal guarantees about every device.

How to choose a phone using chipset rankings
Use a chipset ranking to narrow the field, then compare the complete phones you can actually buy in your region. Look at the handset’s own testing and specifications rather than assuming the highest-ranked chip settles every buying decision.
- For gaming: Check sustained frame rates and temperatures during extended play, plus the phone’s cooling design. Peak benchmark scores alone do not establish how well a handset will maintain performance over time.
- For everyday speed: Consider single-core and multi-core results as different indicators, then weigh them alongside the phone’s software and configuration.
- For battery life: Look for phone-level endurance testing. The cited chipset scores do not establish a chipset-wide power-efficiency ranking.
- For video recording: Confirm the exact phone’s supported recording modes and resolution; chipset name alone does not tell you which features the manufacturer enables.
- Before buying: Check regional availability, price, software support, and reviews or tests of the specific handset. A chipset is not a consumer-upgradeable part; the product you choose is the whole phone.
For example, 91mobiles identifies the Realme GT 8 Pro as a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 test handset, Vivo X300 Pro as a Dimensity 9500 test handset, and Galaxy S26 Plus as an Exynos 2600 test handset in its ranking article. Their results illustrate why a chipset score should be read in the context of the device used to produce it.
