Treat this as a priority order, not a universal set of taps: OriginOS features and menu labels vary by phone model and system version. If a control is hard to find, search within Settings or consult your phone’s manual.
1. Review app permissions and access
Begin with permissions for sensitive data and device functions, such as location, camera, microphone, contacts, and photos or files. Check which apps have access and whether that access fits what you use each app for. Remove permissions that are unnecessary, but keep those an app needs for features you rely on.

2. Secure the screen and private material
Set a screen lock if you have not already, then check whether your phone offers a private-file or Private Space feature for material you want separated from the main phone environment. vivo describes OriginOS 6 Private Space as encrypted and separated from the main environment, but availability and enrollment steps depend on the device. Confirm the feature and its instructions on your own phone rather than relying on a path from another model.

3. Inspect battery use before limiting background activity
Look at which apps are consuming power, then review the phone’s battery modes and background-consumption controls. Change restrictions app by app: limiting background activity may affect timely notifications or functions you expect to work when an app is not open. vivo manuals describe battery and background-consumption controls, but the displayed consumption figures are approximate and can vary with usage. Use vivo support to find the manual for your phone.
OriginOS 7 also describes battery-life estimates, but that is a version-specific feature rather than a control every OriginOS phone is guaranteed to have. vivo claims that OriginOS 6 standby time with network lasts “up to 18% longer”; that is vivo’s product claim, not a guaranteed result for an individual phone or a measured outcome of changing these settings.

4. Tune brightness and sleep comfort
If your phone offers them, adjust automatic or scenario-based brightness to suit how and where you use the screen. You can also review sleep-comfort or color-temperature behavior and choose a setting that feels comfortable to you. vivo lists these features for OriginOS 6, but their availability can vary by release and model. These options are preferences to personalize, not a promise of better sleep.
5. Verify version-specific options on your phone
OriginOS does not have one universal settings checklist with identical labels and features across devices. The reader phrasing “First Setup OriginOs Settings(For Privacy)” reflects a privacy-first concern, including interest in Private Space and app encryption, but does not establish a menu path that applies to every phone. The Reddit post is an example of that concern, not official setup guidance.
