Feature availability and labels can vary by model, region, and software build, so follow what appears on your own handset rather than relying on a universal menu path.
1. Review app permissions and activity
Start with privacy or permission controls on your phone. Check which apps can use sensitive capabilities, such as your location, camera, or microphone, and whether each app needs that access. vivo says OriginOS 7 monitors how apps use permissions and can suggest adjustments when it detects unusually frequent access. Treat a suggestion as a prompt to inspect the app and permission—not as proof that the access is harmful. vivo’s OriginOS 7 feature page describes permission activity logs and one-tap suggestions, but does not document a menu path that applies to every device.

If a suggested change would interrupt a feature you rely on, consider the app’s purpose before accepting it. You can also review the permission controls again if an app stops working as expected.

2. Check battery and charging estimates
Look for estimates of remaining battery time and time until charging completes. If your device offers them, use them to plan—such as deciding whether to charge before leaving. They are visibility aids, not settings that necessarily extend battery life. vivo notes that battery life and power consumption vary with the device, apps, usage scenario, and network conditions. The OriginOS 7 feature page does not establish that these estimates appear on every model or build.

3. Put the BlueVolt claim in context
vivo says its BlueVolt Smart Engine was co-developed with Microsoft for meeting scenarios. The company claims up to 25% lower power consumption during high-resolution Teams video calls and up to 4% longer battery life in those same scenarios. These are vivo’s product-page claims, not independently verified results or a promise of savings during ordinary mixed use. See vivo’s stated feature details.
4. Personalize the display surfaces
Once you have reviewed permissions and checked the battery information available to you, adjust the lock screen, home screen, and Always-On Display to fit your preferences. vivo named these areas in its September 24, 2026 global announcement, but did not prescribe a best layout or rank personalization settings. The exact options and labels may depend on your handset and build.

How to apply this order on your phone
- Open the privacy or permission controls shown in your device’s Settings and review app access and any OriginOS suggestions.
- Find the battery information available on your handset and check whether it shows remaining-use or charging-completion estimates.
- Use the display or personalization controls shown on your device to change the lock screen, home screen, or Always-On Display.
These are areas to look for, not guaranteed menu paths. vivo’s India announcement adds feature-area context, but the official materials do not provide a complete model-by-model compatibility list or universal step-by-step instructions. If a feature or label is missing, do not assume it is broken: availability can depend on the specific device, region, and installed software build.
