The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED is the clearest fit if you want a lightweight mouse for competitive play: Logitech lists it at 60 g, with five buttons and up to an 8,000 Hz report rate. For more programmable controls, consider a G502 X variant; for LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth with an AA battery option, look at the G309. The right choice depends more on controls, connection and battery setup than on maximum DPI alone.

How to choose a Logitech gaming mouse

Start with the features you will actually use: weight, control count, connection modes, battery setup and whether you want RGB. DPI and report rate are useful specifications, but Logitech’s published figures do not establish that a higher number will improve your aim or performance.

  • For a light, simple setup: prioritize low published weight and a small button count.
  • For more controls: compare the G502 X variants and check the exact suffix.
  • For connection flexibility: the G309 supports both LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth.
  • For battery planning: compare the stated battery type and conditions, not just the headline duration.

The specifications below are Logitech’s claims, not results from independent comparative testing. Weight, battery life and other features can vary by configuration or use; confirm the current listing for your region before buying.

Best Logitech gaming mice by priority

Best lightweight pick: Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 LIGHTSPEED

Logitech lists the PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 at 60 g, with five buttons, a HERO 2 sensor, LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches and a 100–44,000 DPI range. Its maximum report rate is 8,000 Hz. Logitech states 95 hours of battery life under constant motion; actual duration depends on use and conditions. See Logitech’s PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 specifications.

Logitech G502 Hero Wired Gaming Mouse - Black | High performance, 25,600 DPI, RGB, adjustable weights, 11 programmable buttons, on-board memory, PC/Mac
  • HERO Gaming Sensor: Next generation HERO mouse sensor delivers precision tracking up to 25600 DPI with zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration
  • 11 programmable buttons and dual mode hyper-fast scroll wheel: The Logitech wired gaming mouse gives you fully customizable control over your gameplay
  • Adjustable weights: Match your playing style. Arrange up to five 3.6 g weights for a personalized weight and balance configuration
  • LIGHTSYNC technology: Logitech G LIGHTSYNC technology provides fully customizable RGB lighting that can also synchronize with your gaming (requires Logitech Gaming Software)
  • Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback

This is the most straightforward choice here if low weight is the priority and five buttons are enough. Its high report-rate and DPI figures are specification ceilings, not proof of better results in a particular game. Logitech says advanced features require G HUB software; its product page also lists a two-year limited hardware warranty. Check the product details and software notes.

Best G502 wireless option: Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED

Choose the G502 X LIGHTSPEED if you want the wireless model in the G502 X family and value its LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches. Logitech lists a HERO 25K sensor and claims up to 140 hours of battery life. That duration is a manufacturer claim; check the product page for conditions and the current regional listing. View the G502 X LIGHTSPEED details.

Specifications can differ between regional product pages and configurations. Verify the exact model and current local listing rather than assuming weight, sensor or battery figures from another G502 X version apply. Logitech’s G502 collection shows the family’s separate variants.

Best for LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth and an AA battery: Logitech G309 LIGHTSPEED

The G309 supports LIGHTSPEED wireless and Bluetooth, and uses one AA battery. Logitech lists it at 86 g with the AA installed and claims 300+ hours from one AA battery. A lighter 68 g configuration is possible without the AA battery when paired with Logitech POWERPLAY. That 68 g figure depends on removing the battery and using POWERPLAY; it is not the standard AA-powered configuration. See Logitech’s G309 specifications.
