The right interior design website template depends first on your platform and workflow—not just its look. Choose a hosted editor, WordPress, HTML, or Framer; then check whether the layout can tell project stories, explain services, collect useful inquiries, and support a shop if you sell furniture or decor.
Start with the platform, then compare layouts
The available examples span several formats, so they are not interchangeable. A hosted service bundles the site editor with platform features; WordPress themes suit studios comfortable managing a WordPress site; HTML templates call for working with code or a developer; and the Framer examples are designed for that platform. Confirm the current platform requirements and compatibility on the seller’s page before choosing.

| Platform or format | Examples in the cited roundups | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Hosted Squarespace | Bergen is described as a free, minimalist portfolio template. | Whether the hosted editor and connected business tools suit your workflow. Squarespace describes its interior-design templates as supporting portfolio galleries, service pages, designer profiles, and connections to booking, payment, and CRM tools; these are platform claims, not independent performance measurements. |
| WordPress | Divi, Jevelin, Intexure, Theratio, BIM, Intoria, and Diaco are among the WordPress examples described by Colorlib. | Required theme or builder, compatibility with your WordPress setup, included components, support, and licensing. |
| HTML | Atelier, Ollis, Nevara, Modern, Contra, Prague, Monolit, and Balkon are among the HTML or code-oriented examples discussed by Colorlib. | Whether you can edit and deploy the files yourself, or have someone who can; verify any scripts, shop functionality, and license terms. |
| Framer | DiverseKit names Revana, NORDIQ, Vela, Mirell, Luxel, and Estancia as options relevant to interior design, furniture, or architecture work. | Current catalog availability, included pages and CMS features, editing needs, and license terms. |
These are publisher- and vendor-described features, not results from comparative testing. The Colorlib article’s headline promises 16 templates, but its contents and numbered sections do not agree; its listed names include additional entries such as Balkon. DiverseKit’s “16 Best” headline also does not reconcile with the 15 names in its initial list. Treat both as discovery lists rather than verified, fixed-count rankings. Colorlib’s roundup is dated September 25, 2026. DiverseKit’s list was published June 11, 2026, and marked updated August 31, 2026.

Residential designers: lead with the work
For homeowners comparing aesthetics, a portfolio-led homepage can make the studio’s style immediately legible. Favor strong project photography, clear project categories, and room-by-room galleries. Atelier is described as having a categorized project hero, filterable masonry grid, process timeline, and materials showcase; Jevelin is described as offering multiple portfolio styles. Use those descriptions as a starting point, then inspect the current demo to see whether the actual gallery supports the way you want to present projects.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Commercial studios: make services and process easy to find
Procurement and business clients may need to understand scope, services, and process before browsing visual inspiration. Put those details high on the page, and make the inquiry route visible. Colorlib recommends clear service and process information and an inquiry form that qualifies scope and budget. Look for a layout where the form can ask practical questions without hiding the work that establishes credibility.
Check how the template handles project stories
A portfolio should do more than display attractive rooms. For each project, decide whether you need a dedicated page for the brief, constraints, materials, decisions, and finished spaces. Before-and-after work can be presented as a sequence of paired images with concise captions, provided you can do so accurately and have permission to publish the photography. Room-by-room galleries can help visitors navigate a large project without flattening it into a single image grid.

- Check how project categories and filters appear on desktop and mobile.
- Open a project page in the demo and assess whether its text and images tell a coherent story.
- Confirm whether the template supports additional projects without making navigation unwieldy.
- For frequent updates or a large archive, consider examples described with categorized portfolios and optional blog sections, such as BIM or Theratio.
Decide whether the site needs a shop
If the studio sells furnishings or decor as well as design services, verify the commerce setup separately from the portfolio design. Colorlib describes Ollis as WooCommerce-ready and Nevara as ecommerce-focused, with multiple shop pages. Those descriptions do not establish what a current purchase includes or whether the store features fit your needs. Confirm platform compatibility, checkout requirements, product-page behavior, and licensing with the seller.
If you only sell services, a shop may add unnecessary complexity. Prioritize project pages, service descriptions, a clear process, and a useful inquiry form instead.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to verify before buying or building
- Open the current demo. Check the pages and interactions you actually need, including a project page, inquiry form, mobile navigation, and—if relevant—a product page.
- Confirm the format and dependencies. Identify the platform, required builder or plugins, and whether the purchase is a theme, template, hosted subscription, or source files.
- Read the current license and support terms. Confirm permitted client work, number of sites, updates, support, and any separate fees. The cited roundups do not establish current individual prices or license terms.
- Check content fit. Make sure the design can accommodate your project photography, service details, process, inquiry questions, and any ongoing articles or case studies.
- Validate commerce and integrations. If you need bookings, payments, CRM connections, or ecommerce, check that the platform and specific template support your setup. Squarespace describes these connections as available through its platform, but verify the tools and plan you need on its official interior-design templates page.
Squarespace also states that its templates are responsive and SEO-ready. That is the vendor’s description, not a guarantee of search visibility, speed, or business results.
