Start with fit: wear the Galaxy Buds4 Pro comfortably and run Samsung’s fit test, adjusting until it reports “Good fit.” Then choose noise control for your surroundings, adjust the equalizer only if you want to, and try 360 Audio or Ultra high quality (UHQ) audio as optional extras. Some advanced settings depend on your phone and playback app.
1. Check the fit before changing sound settings
A comfortable fit is the best starting point because it gives you a practical baseline before you adjust other features. Samsung’s Galaxy Buds4 Pro setup guide recommends running the fit test and adjusting the earbuds until it reports “Good fit.” The test is a user-specific check, not a clinical measurement or a guarantee of a particular noise-cancellation result.

After the fit is detected, Samsung says the earbuds provide brief sound feedback. If the test does not report a good fit, adjust how the earbuds sit and run it again.
2. Choose noise control for your surroundings
The Buds4 Pro includes adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and other noise-control features. Pick the mode that suits what you are doing: reducing surrounding sound may be useful in some settings, while hearing more of your surroundings may matter in others. Keep awareness appropriate to the situation, particularly when you need to hear people, traffic, or other hazards.

Samsung describes adaptive features as responding to wearing conditions and ear shape; that does not mean every listener will get the same result. There is no universally best mode established by Samsung’s product information or its February 25, 2026 announcement. Choose based on your environment and preference.
3. Adjust the equalizer if playback needs tuning
If the default sound does not suit your taste, use the equalizer to personalize playback. Samsung’s setup guide places it under “Sound quality and effects” and describes a 9-band EQ. Treat presets and adjustments as preference choices: the available sources do not identify a universally best curve or establish that one setting is objectively superior.

4. Try 360 Audio and advanced quality options selectively
Samsung lists 360 Audio among the sound-quality options, alongside advanced choices such as UHQ audio and Super wide band speech. These are optional features, not steps required for a good initial setup. Try them when they suit the content or call use you have in mind, and keep them only if you prefer the result.

Samsung describes support for 24-bit/96 kHz audio with eligible Galaxy devices; its announcement also says 24-bit Hi-Fi support depends on Galaxy-device software and may vary by application. 5. Check phone compatibility if advanced settings are missing
Samsung states that advanced Galaxy Wearable configuration requires Android 12.0 or later and at least 1.5 GB of memory. Basic Bluetooth audio connection is available irrespective of operating system, so being able to connect and listen does not necessarily mean every advanced control is available. Menu names and options can also vary with software version and region.
