Its cited reviews also report 10 hours 44 minutes for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 in an average 5G web-surfing test and 12 hours 16 minutes for the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold in a separate 5G web-surfing test. Those results are useful reference points, not a controlled six-phone comparison: the published material here does not establish matching test conditions across models.
Which foldable phone is Tom’s Guide’s battery-life pick?
Tom’s Guide names the Motorola Razr Ultra 2026 as its best-battery-life foldable in its foldable-phone guide. That is the guide’s editorial pick, not a numeric result established by the two individual model tests cited below. Without a matching test figure and protocol for the Razr Ultra, it would be misleading to rank it against those phones by hours of runtime.

The strongest published runtime figures available for comparison are from Tom’s Guide reviews of the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. They offer evidence about each model under a web-surfing test, but do not establish a head-to-head winner unless the test conditions match.
What do the published runtime tests report?
| Phone | Published result | What the figure represents |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 | 10 hours 55 minutes for one run; 10 hours 33 minutes for a second run; 10 hours 44 minutes average | Tom’s Guide’s reported 5G web-surfing test results. The review’s publication year is not established in the available citation. Read the review. |
| Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold | 12 hours 16 minutes | Tom’s Guide’s reported 5G web-surfing test result. The review’s publication year is not established in the available citation. Read the review. |
The Pixel’s reported result is longer than the Fold7’s reported average, but these are results from separate model reviews. The available reporting does not establish that brightness, network conditions, settings, workload, and stopping conditions were identical. Treat the difference as a lead for comparison, not proof that the Pixel will last longer in every real-world use pattern. PhoneArena also publishes a dedicated Galaxy Z Fold7 versus Pixel 10 Pro Fold battery comparison; battery conclusions should still be read in light of that page’s own methods.

Why battery capacity and manufacturer claims are different from test results
Samsung lists a 4,400 mAh battery capacity for the Galaxy Z Fold7 in its specification sheet. Google’s Pixel 10 Pro Fold specification page advertises 24+ hours of battery life. That is a Google manufacturer claim, not the same kind of result as Tom’s Guide’s web-surfing runtime test. Google Store specifications.
Capacity, advertised battery life, and measured runtime describe different things. A larger mAh number alone does not establish longer endurance: the result also depends on hardware, software, settings, signal, and workload. Similarly, charging speed describes how quickly a phone replenishes power, not how long it runs on a charge. Tom’s Guide reports 25W charging and a 30-minute charge result for the Fold7 in its review, but those charging details do not establish long-run battery life.

What can change your foldable’s real-world battery life?
Samsung says actual Galaxy Z Fold7 battery life varies with network environment, features and apps, frequency of calls and messages, charge history, and other factors. Its battery comparison and caveats are a reminder that a single lab-style web-surfing figure cannot predict every person’s day.

Quick Recap
Rank #3
- Unfold extraordinary with Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold; with Pixel’s largest screen and Gemini, Google’s most advanced AI, it’s made for multitasking and entertainment[1]
- Unlocked Android phone gives you the flexibility to change carriers and choose your own data plan[2]; it works with Google Fi, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and other major carriers
- Get a head start on syncing your data before it even arrives: After you purchase your new Pixel, look for an email that explains how to transfer your photos, videos, passwords, and more in just a few quick steps[14]
- The gearless, high-strength hinge makes it durable enough to handle about 10 years of folding[3]; plus, Pixel 10 Pro Fold is built with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance[4]
- The brighter-than-ever 8-inch Super Actua Flex display is Pixel’s largest screen yet[12]; and you can use Split Screen to plan a trip, drag and drop images, and open multiple apps at once[5]
- Signal and network: A phone’s connection environment affects power use; results on one network setup may not reflect another.
- Screen and workload: Web browsing, video playback, gaming, and mixed daily use are different workloads. A result for one should not be presented as a result for all three.
- Settings and apps: Features enabled, refresh behavior, background activity, and app mix can change how quickly the battery drains.
- Use pattern: Calls, messages, and time spent on the inner versus cover display vary from person to person.
How to choose a foldable if battery life is your priority
- Use tested runtime as a starting point. Look for a review that states its test method and compare like with like: same network, brightness, refresh settings, workload, and shutdown threshold. If a source does not establish those conditions across two phones, keep the results separate.
- Check the model-specific evidence. Tom’s Guide’s guide pick is the Razr Ultra 2026, while its cited web-surfing reviews provide figures for the Fold7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Do not turn those separate findings into a six-phone ranking.
- Consider your own workload. A long video session, gaming, weak signal, or heavy multitasking may produce a different result from web surfing. Decide which activities matter most before treating a test score as decisive.
- Separate endurance from charging convenience. If you can recharge during the day, charging performance may matter to you; if you need the phone to last between charges, focus on endurance evidence. Check compatibility before choosing a USB-C charger or power bank for a specific phone.
- Confirm the exact model and market. Foldable model names, availability, and specifications can vary by market or release. Check the manufacturer’s current listing for the version sold where you live.
