A cloud looping service is the best fit when you want a prerecorded video to keep broadcasting on YouTube without relying on a computer at home. But “automatic recovery” can mean reconnecting the same broadcast, starting a new one, or simply recovering from a brief interruption. Check exactly what a provider does after a failure before you trust it with an unattended stream.
What “replace a failed video” can mean
For a YouTube loop, the video itself may not need replacing. The failure may be in the connection or broadcast: a service can reconnect the existing stream, restart the broadcast, or switch to a different backup video. Those are distinct behaviors. The provider descriptions available for the services below discuss reconnects or restarts, not automatic substitution of a backup video.

StreamNeo’s guide, published July 3, 2026 and updated September 19, 2026, compares a local OBS setup, FFmpeg on a VPS, and a managed cloud service for continuous YouTube streaming. It supports the practical distinction: cloud hosting removes dependence on a local always-on computer, but reliability and recovery depend on the individual service. The guide does not independently establish which provider is most reliable. See StreamNeo.

Cloud services that describe automatic recovery
The following are vendor-described behaviors, not results of independent uptime or recovery tests. No provider can be ranked as most reliable on this evidence alone.
#1 Best Overall
- Compact but Powerful Design: ZowieBox is smaller than a phone, featuring a tally light and LCD screen for streaming status. Capture console gameplay in up to 4K with zero-lag HDMI passthrough, while the built-in video encoder converts video for IP streaming. The IP stream can also be decoded back to a 4K HDMI signal.
- Standalone Game Streaming: Just plug and play—ZowieBox enables PC-free live gaming without affecting gameplay. As an RTMP hardware encoder and HDMI streamer, it delivers stable streaming directly from your source, making it ideal for gaming, live events, and professional broadcasting.
- NDI|HX3 Converter Technology: ZowieBox converts HDMI signals to NDI|HX3/HX2/HX, functioning as an NDI video encoder, or NDI Video Decoder for flexible IP workflows. Certified NDI technology enables low-latency gameplay streaming through OBS/vMix. Note: Encoder and decoder modes cannot run simultaneously; full NDI signals are not supported.
- UVC to HDMI Conversion: Supporting up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps decoding, ZowieBox enables flexible conversion for webcam and video workflows. As a video decoder and HDMI to IP converter, it expands connectivity options for professional video devices. Note: USB capture card functionality is not currently supported.
- All-around Configuration Options: Control ZowieBox through its web UI on a PC, phone, or tablet. Manage connected PTZ cameras, tally light, video/audio, OSD, work mode, streams, network, and system settings. Support for VISCA over IP encoder workflows enables flexible PTZ control, while the dashboard provides video preview and system status.
- StreamNeo: StreamNeo keeps uploaded videos looping on YouTube from the cloud and says it automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. Upload a recording or create a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and start the stream. It is the first option to consider for an always-on cloud loop: any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, with the first day free.
- Streamloop: Its product page says it monitors streams around the clock and automatically restarts them. It describes continuous prerecorded playlists for YouTube and other RTMP services, scheduling, playlist editing, cloud hosting, support for resolutions up to 4K/60fps, and credit-based billing. These are vendor claims; confirm current limits and pricing with Streamloop.
- Autostreamer: Its page describes scheduled YouTube broadcasts, playlists, and automatic restart after a failure. It displays a seven-day free period and plan details, but offers and prices may change. Its promotional growth and revenue claims are not independently verified.
- Loopcast: Its page says it automatically relaunches a dropped broadcast from a datacenter. It also describes a reusable stream key and says reconnection uses the same YouTube broadcast. Check the provider’s current terms and behavior before relying on that distinction.
- LiveGoLive: Its page describes a cloud encoder for uploaded playlists that reconnects after transient network interruptions. It says users can connect through an authorization option described as beta or by pasting a stream key.
- Nagashippa: This Japanese cloud service sends uploaded videos to YouTube. Its page says short interruptions recover automatically, but an interruption lasting longer than about one minute may end the stream without automatic restart. It also warns that a broadcast handoff can show a blank screen for roughly 2–3 minutes. These are the provider’s stated limitations, not independent measurements.
How cloud looping compares with running your own setup
| Approach | What stays running | Recovery responsibility | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloud looping service | The provider hosts the uploaded video and broadcast. | Depends on the provider’s documented monitoring and reconnect or restart behavior. | Less local equipment to operate; feature limits, billing, and outage handling vary by service. |
| OBS on a local computer | Your computer, encoder, power, and internet connection. | You manage the setup and recovery. | Avoids a managed-service subscription, but the local system must stay available. |
| FFmpeg on a VPS | A configured virtual server and its streaming process. | You configure and operate the server and recovery behavior. | Offers more control, with more setup and ongoing operations. |
For either self-managed option, the computer or server being online does not by itself guarantee that YouTube will remain live. The stream path, encoder process, connection, and platform all matter. A cloud service transfers much of the hosting and recovery work to its provider, but it does not eliminate the need to understand failure behavior.
What to verify before choosing a service
- Reconnect or restart: Does recovery reconnect to the same YouTube broadcast, or create another broadcast? Does it switch to another video, or only resume the existing media?
- Failure detection: Which failures trigger recovery, and how long does detection and restart take? A promise about transient network interruptions may not cover a prolonged outage.
- Long interruptions: Is there a threshold after which the live broadcast ends and must be started manually? Nagashippa’s stated limit illustrates why this question matters.
- Interruption viewers may see: Ask whether recovery causes a blank screen or a gap, and how long a handoff can last.
- Playlist and schedule controls: Confirm whether you can edit a running playlist, schedule broadcasts, and choose what happens between videos.
- Media and quality: Check accepted file formats, resolution and frame-rate limits, and whether the provider changes or re-encodes the uploaded video.
- Billing, storage, and stream limits: Verify the current plan, storage allowance, billing model, number of simultaneous streams, and what happens when a limit is reached.
- Connection method: Confirm whether the service uses a YouTube stream key or account authorization, and whether any authorization feature is still in beta.
Ask the provider to clarify these points in writing if uninterrupted operation matters. Product pages can change, and vendor descriptions are not independent service tests.

Copyright and YouTube policy still apply
Using a cloud service does not grant rights to the video, music, or other material in a loop, and it does not guarantee monetization or compliance with YouTube policies. Use content you own or are authorized to stream, and review YouTube’s current rules for copyright and reused content before broadcasting. A 24/7 loop should offer a legitimate viewing purpose; a provider’s ability to keep it live is not a policy endorsement.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsOr let it run in the cloud
