LiveReacting is the clearest documented choice for streaming uploaded 4K video as a 24/7 YouTube live stream: it describes 4K as an upgrade to its 1080p-default service. Upstream also advertises 4K, but its cited product page does not make the plan conditions for 24/7 4K output clear. For StreamNeo, uploaded videos stream as made, up to 4K at 60 fps, at one flat price per slot.
The key is to verify the outgoing live resolution, not just whether a service accepts a 4K file. YouTube can receive 2160p live video, but that does not mean every cloud service will send it at 4K.
Which services support 4K 24/7 YouTube streaming?
This comparison concerns cloud services that loop uploaded or stored videos into a YouTube live stream. StreamNeo is first because it runs the stream from the cloud and sends uploaded video as made, up to 4K at 60 fps, at one flat price per slot; its first day is free with no card. Among the other services checked, LiveReacting is the clearest documented 4K option.
| Service | What is documented | What that means for 4K 24/7 streaming |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud 24/7 looping of uploaded videos to YouTube; video streams as uploaded, up to 4K at 60 fps, with no re-encode or quality tiers. | 4K file streaming is supported up to 4K/60 fps. Check available storage against your files and playlists. |
| LiveReacting | 24/7 streams from uploaded pre-recorded video. 1080p is the default; 4K and 60 fps are paid upgrades. Its file guidance gives a 10 GB per-video limit on its 24/7 plan. | Vendor-stated 4K option, subject to the plan and settings. Confirm the current upgrade and outgoing resolution before purchase. LiveReacting 24/7 streaming FAQ and LiveReacting Help. |
| Upstream | Describes cloud 24/7 streaming from uploaded video and displays 1080p and 4K options. Its free plan is shown as 1080p at 30 fps. | 4K is advertised, but the cited page does not clearly establish the paid 24/7 plan’s exact 4K conditions. Verify the plan and whether the outgoing stream is 4K. Upstream. |
| OneStream Live | Documents continuous YouTube streaming from uploaded or stored videos. 24/7 mode requires Enterprise and a scheduled run can last up to 30 days. | The cited 24/7 setup documentation does not establish 4K input or output. Do not count it as a confirmed 4K option without direct confirmation. OneStream Live 24/7 setup. |
| StreamYard | Live output is capped at 1080p. Some plans support 4K local participant recordings. | 4K local recordings are not 4K live output, so it is not a 4K live-stream fit on the cited evidence. StreamYard support. |
| Restream | Restream Studio is capped at 1080p. An external encoder such as OBS can pass 4K through Restream, subject to destination requirements. | Studio itself is not 4K. External-encoder pass-through is a different workflow; the cited page does not establish a 24/7 uploaded-file loop feature. Restream support. |

What counts as “4K support”?
Three separate capabilities are often collapsed into one claim:
- Upload acceptance: Can the service take your 4K file, given its format, codec, size and duration?
- Processing: Does it preserve the original, transcode it, or downscale it?
- Outgoing live resolution: Does the stream sent to YouTube actually reach 2160p?
A service may accept a 4K upload and send a 1080p stream. An external encoder may send 4K to YouTube without offering cloud-based file looping. Ask the vendor specifically whether its 24/7 workflow outputs 3840×2160, and whether that resolution is included in the plan you are considering. YouTube’s 2160p encoder guidance describes what the destination can receive, not what a third-party service supports. YouTube Live encoder settings.

Preparing a 4K file for LiveReacting
LiveReacting’s 2026 guidance recommends H.264 video and AAC audio. For 3840×2160 it lists these video bitrate recommendations and a per-file cap for its 24/7 plan:
| Video setting | LiveReacting guidance |
|---|---|
| 3840×2160 at 30 fps | Up to 30 Mbps |
| 3840×2160 at 60 fps | Up to 35 Mbps |
| Maximum file size | 10 GB per video file on the 24/7 Streaming plan |
These are LiveReacting’s recommendations and stated limit, not universal requirements for other services. LiveReacting says files outside its recommendations may still upload and be encoded; confirm how that processing affects your outgoing resolution. LiveReacting file and 24/7 guidance.

Check these details before paying
- Confirm the exact plan and output. Ask whether the 24/7 plan sends 2160p to YouTube, whether 4K is an add-on, and whether 60 fps is separate.
- Check the file limits. Verify maximum file size and duration, supported containers and codecs, frame rate, bitrate and audio format.
- Ask what happens to the source. Establish whether the service streams the original file or transcodes/downscales it, and how you can confirm outgoing resolution.
- Check the run model. Find out whether looping is continuous, whether a scheduled stream has a maximum duration, and whether the workflow is YouTube-only. For example, OneStream Live documents a 30-day maximum scheduled run and YouTube-only 24/7 mode.
- Verify channel readiness. Make sure your channel can go live and that the selected workflow can use its YouTube stream key. Review YouTube’s encoder and stream-health guidance; it recommends testing the broadcast and monitoring stream health.
- Review rights and platform policies. Only stream video and audio you have permission to use. A 24/7 loop does not make copyrighted material permissible, and repetitive or reused programming may raise monetization or policy issues even if you control the stream setup. Check YouTube’s current YouTube Partner Program monetization policies and applicable copyright rules.
Latency and stream health on YouTube
YouTube’s encoder guidance includes 2160p settings, but 4K/2160p does not offer the low-latency option described in that guidance; it uses normal latency. For a prerecorded 24/7 channel, that trade-off is usually less important than whether the service can sustain the chosen resolution and recover if the connection to YouTube is interrupted. Test the setup and monitor YouTube’s stream-health status before relying on it. YouTube encoder settings and YouTube stream-health guidance.

Will my 4K upload definitely be live in 4K?
Not unless the provider confirms outgoing 2160p for the specific 24/7 plan. File acceptance alone does not prove it.

Does YouTube’s support for 4K mean every service can stream 4K?
No. YouTube can receive 2160p encoder output, but an intermediary may impose a lower limit or transcode the file.
Is 4K local recording the same as 4K live output?
No. Local recordings capture participants to a file; live output is the resolution viewers receive during the broadcast.
