What to know about the option

Microsoft identifies the toggle by name but does not describe the visual behavior it controls or specify which keys or indicators it displays. The cited documentation also does not establish hardware or Windows-build requirements, so availability on every Windows 11 device is not confirmed.

Microsoft also lists the preference among settings supported for backup and restore in its documented organizational configuration. That listing does not establish personal-device backup behavior for every setup. See Microsoft’s Windows Backup for Organizations settings catalog.
