First, identify which Insignia TV you have
Insignia TVs use different platforms and remote layouts. The instructions below apply to the Fire TV remote shown in the cited Insignia LED TV User Guide and the Roku controls documented in the Insignia DR420-series user guide. Check your TV’s home screen, settings, or model documentation to confirm its platform before following platform-specific directions.

On an Insignia Fire TV remote
Find the button labeled Menu on the remote illustration in the guide. Insignia describes its function as “Activates on-screen contextual commands.” The same guide shows Home and Settings as separate controls, so neither is the Menu button.
On an Insignia Roku TV remote
Navigate to an item
Use the directional pad to move the on-screen highlight, then press OK to select. This is the basic way to move through and choose on-screen items.

Open playback options
While video is playing, pressing the * button opens an Options menu in many situations. It is a contextual control, not a universal Menu button for every screen or every Roku TV model. As the DR420-series guide puts it, “The menu you see varies depending on what you are doing with your Insignia Roku TV.” That manual covers models NS-32DR420NA16 and NS-55DR420NA16, so use your own model’s guide if the controls differ.
If you mean a button on the TV itself
The cited guides do not establish one physical Menu-button location for all Insignia TVs, or that every model has a dedicated Menu button on the cabinet. Find the model number on the TV’s product label and consult its specific user guide for built-in controls. A general rule such as “under the logo” or “on the right side” is not reliable across the product range.

If you cannot find the control
- Remote labels do not match: Confirm whether the TV is Fire TV, Roku TV, or another platform; the Insignia name alone does not determine the remote layout.
- The original remote is missing or a button is broken: Identify the exact TV model before choosing a replacement. A remote’s appearance or brand name alone does not confirm compatibility.
- You are looking for a cabinet button: Use the model-specific guide rather than guessing its position.
