Sign in to YouTube Studio.

Open Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility, if that option appears. This is a community-reported navigation path, not a menu path confirmed in YouTube’s official help pages.

Also select Create → Go Live in Studio. Follow the setup flow to see whether the channel can proceed.

If Feature eligibility is missing, do not assume that live streaming is unavailable. Use the Go Live flow and check your account against YouTube’s published requirements below.

Requirements that can affect access

Channel verification: YouTube requires a verified channel to live stream.

Restriction history: You must have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube’s Help guidance states: “To live stream, you need to have no live streaming restrictions in the past 90 days and you need to verify your channel.”

Mobile app threshold: To stream from the YouTube mobile app, a channel needs at least 50 subscribers, must be verified, must have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days, and must have live streaming turned on.

Review account or content issues that may limit features, including policy or copyright matters, age-related circumstances, made-for-kids feature limits, and daily stream-creation limits.

Confirm the channel meets the 50-subscriber minimum, is verified, and has no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days.

If this is the first time you have enabled live streaming, allow up to 24 hours for activation before trying again.
Do not try to get around an active live-streaming restriction by using another channel; YouTube prohibits that while the restriction is in effect. If the feature still appears unavailable after you have checked these conditions, use in-product feedback or an available Creator Support channel. YouTube’s reviewed guidance does not establish one universal escalation route.
