Where to look on the TV
- Check under the LG logo. Look along the lower front edge, directly beneath the logo. This is one of the locations LG identifies as common.
- Check the back. If there is no button under the logo, inspect the rear of the TV, including its edges.
- Feel carefully along the underside and rear edge. If the control is hard to see, feel for it gently rather than assuming it will look like a joystick. LG describes more than one jog-button design, and its illustrations may not match every model. LG OLED jog-button guidance explains the variation.
LG’s general guidance says the button is usually under the front logo or on the back, but placement varies by model. For exact placement, find the TV’s model number and open its manual through LG Support.

How to use the built-in button
On the jog-button types covered in LG’s OLED instructions, press the control to turn the TV on. To turn it off, press and hold it. Depending on the design, the control may also let you navigate menus or adjust volume or channels; those extra functions are not the same on every model.
Holding the button to shut down can close running apps and stop recordings. If an on-screen prompt appears during shutdown, LG’s OLED troubleshooting guidance says to hold the button for more than three seconds.

If the remote is not working
Use the TV’s built-in button to check whether the set responds. If it does, the control provides a way to power the TV without the remote; if it does not, check the model-specific manual for the control’s location and operation before assuming the button is elsewhere.

Look for the full model number on the TV’s label or in its settings, then search for that model on LG Support and open the matching owner’s manual. For example, LG lists separate support pages for the OLED77B3PUA and OLED77B4PUA, illustrating why a manual for a similar-looking set is not a substitute for the one matching your TV.
