Compare playlist handling, stream duration, output settings, YouTube channel controls, operational visibility, and plan limits—not just a “24/7” label. Those are directory and vendor claims, not independent tests or uptime guarantees.
How a cloud service fits into YouTube Live
A cloud streaming service sends video to YouTube from the provider’s infrastructure, rather than relying on an encoder running on your computer. The key question is what it does with your prerecorded files and what happens when a scheduled or continuous broadcast reaches its configured end.
YouTube’s encoder workflow connects an encoder to a YouTube Live server URL and stream key. Scheduled broadcasts are managed in Live Control Room. A provider may add its own workflow for selecting files, choosing a channel, scheduling, and setting a duration. YouTube describes an encoder this way: “An encoder converts your video into a digital format to stream on YouTube.” YouTube’s encoder setup instructions explain the platform-side connection.
What to check before choosing a service
Prerecorded files, playlists, and looping
Confirm that the service accepts existing video files and lets you combine them in the sequence you want. If you need a continuous channel, check whether it can repeat a playlist automatically, how it handles the end of the final file, and whether you can replace or reorder videos without rebuilding the broadcast.

OneStream’s help page documents adding videos from a local device, its library, or cloud storage. YouTube’s directory describes Gyre as a cloud tool for continuous prerecorded streams and says it has a built-in converter. These descriptions establish advertised workflows, not a complete comparison of supported file formats or independent picture-quality tests.
Scheduling and maximum run time
Look for immediate start, scheduled start, recurring scheduling if needed, and a clear maximum duration. Ask what viewers see when the schedule ends: does the broadcast stop, restart, or require a new event? OneStream’s help page says its 24/7 streaming feature requires Enterprise and allows a maximum of 30 days. The page was updated September 3, 2026; verify the requirement and limit directly before subscribing.

Encoding and output quality
Check supported resolution, frame rate, codec, and whether the service passes your file through or converts it. Compare those settings with YouTube’s current encoder recommendations. YouTube advises choosing a quality your upload connection can sustain, testing video with representative movement and audio, and monitoring stream health. Its published H.264 recommendations are 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 30 fps, and 6 Mbps minimum and 17 Mbps recommended for 1080p at 60 fps. These are YouTube’s platform recommendations; the page does not state a publication date, and they are not independent performance results.
YouTube recommends RTMPS, which it describes as encrypting data into and through Google’s servers. A provider may manage the encoder connection for you, but you should still understand how it connects to the correct YouTube channel and event.

YouTube connection and channel controls
Check how the service connects to your channel and who controls the stream title, visibility, scheduled event, stream key, and channel-specific configuration. YouTube’s Live Streaming API documentation describes binding scheduled broadcasts to a stream configuration. The provider’s workflow may not expose every YouTube control in the same place as Live Control Room.
Health monitoring and recovery
Before relying on a stream for a long event, find out whether the dashboard shows stream health, upload failures, reconnect attempts, alerts, and an event log. Ask how you would identify a stopped broadcast and what recovery controls you can use. Available sources do not establish comparative uptime guarantees or recovery performance across providers, so a “24/7” product description alone cannot prove reliability.

Plan limits and total cost
Check the plan tier required for continuous streaming, storage and bandwidth allowances, simultaneous channels, duration caps, and any charges that apply when limits are reached. OneStream’s documented Enterprise requirement is a material plan restriction; current comparative prices and equivalent limits for the other named providers are not established here.
Prepare the YouTube side before the first broadcast
- Activate live streaming early. YouTube says first-time live streaming activation may take up to 24 hours. Check that live streaming is enabled for the channel before the day you intend to broadcast. See YouTube’s live streaming help for current account requirements.
- Set up the event and connection. In YouTube Live Control Room, create or schedule the broadcast as appropriate. For an encoder-based connection, enter YouTube’s server URL and stream key in the service’s connection settings. Treat the stream key as a credential: use the intended channel and avoid sharing it.
- Choose visibility deliberately. Set the event to public, unlisted, or private according to its purpose. Scheduled broadcasts can be promoted, and viewers can receive reminders.
- Test the whole workflow. Run a private test with the actual file or playlist, audio, output settings, and service connection. YouTube’s settings guidance says, “Make sure to test before you start your live stream.” Check the preview and stream health, not only whether the provider dashboard says it has started.
- Plan for the archive. YouTube says live streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume a longer broadcast will be archived automatically; arrange any recording or replay workflow you need.
A Google-hosted civic livestreaming guide recommends enabling Live and verifying the account at least 24 hours ahead, testing the complete setup as a private stream, and scheduling as public or unlisted. Its PDF appears to date from approximately 2024 in search metadata, so use it as a general checklist and verify platform steps against current YouTube Help pages.

Services documented for this workflow
The following options have relevant documented claims, but the available evidence does not support declaring one universally best. Compare each provider’s current terms and test its workflow for your channel.
| Service | What is documented | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos, with looping and playlists. One flat price per slot covers uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps. The first day is free with no card. | Confirm the file and playlist workflow, schedule, and duration you need on the service page. It streams to YouTube only. |
| Gyre | YouTube’s verified encoder directory describes it as a cloud tool for 24/7 prerecorded YouTube streaming. Its listing says it includes a converter and supports Full HD/4K output at 30/60 FPS. | The directory copy is vendor-supplied, not independent evidence of uptime or picture quality. Confirm current plans, duration, and file workflow. |
| OneStream Live | Its help center documents selecting videos from a device, its library, or cloud storage and scheduling a continuous YouTube broadcast. The page says 24/7 streaming requires Enterprise and is limited to 30 days. | Verify the current plan gate and limit; the help page was updated September 3, 2026. Confirm any other limits relevant to your channel. |
| Upstream.so | YouTube’s directory describes it as a browser-based cloud studio for 24/7 live video streaming. | The directory entry does not establish a prerecorded playlist workflow. Verify that capability before treating it as a direct fit. |
For StreamNeo, each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Every plan has the same features; only its length changes. Current options are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.
Copyright and channel-policy checks
A video being prerecorded does not make it eligible for a live broadcast. Before uploading a playlist, make sure you have the rights needed to stream its music, video, and other material on YouTube. Review YouTube’s current Community Guidelines and applicable copyright rules, and check the channel’s monetization status and policies if revenue matters. A cloud provider handles the transmission workflow; it does not grant rights to the files or guarantee that a channel or broadcast will be eligible for monetization.
Use the free copyright safety checklist to review a playlist before scheduling it.

If you prefer not to maintain an encoder at home, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos as a looping YouTube livestream: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; videos stream as uploaded up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and the service automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card, and the Monthly plan is $9.99 per month. Start your free first day on StreamNeo.
