Microsoft permits use in architectural diagrams, training materials, or documentation, subject to its terms. Follow its handling guidance: do not crop, flip, rotate, or distort the icons; do not use a Microsoft product icon to represent another product or service; and place the product name near the icon. Microsoft recommends using icons to illustrate products working together and showing them as they appear within Azure.

The Google Cloud product icons library provides separate SVG and PNG ZIP downloads for core product icons and product category icons. It also links a separate legacy console icon download, so choose the current product sets for a new diagram unless you specifically need legacy console artwork.
Rank #2
Google says it updated its product iconography in early 2025 and links to an overview of the new icon system. Check that overview and the library before publishing, particularly if your diagram relies on icons obtained earlier or from a third-party collection.

Choose and use icons without creating confusion
- Start with the official library. This reduces the chance of relying on unofficial or outdated artwork.
- Match icons to the actual service. Keep labels close to icons, especially for Azure, and do not rely on a logo alone to explain a component’s role.
- Preserve the provider’s artwork. For Azure, do not crop, flip, rotate, or distort icons, and do not repurpose a product icon for another service.
- Check currency before sharing. Use provider update information where available; AWS specifies release windows, while Google distinguishes its current product sets from legacy console icons.
- Check the terms for your use. Free downloads do not mean unrestricted reuse. Azure explicitly conditions copying, distribution, and display on permitted uses unless Microsoft grants permission; review the relevant provider page for the scope that applies to your work.
