Keep the order ID and payment record handy. If the order is canceled, check the reason and refund status on the same order before taking further action.
Start with the affected order
- Open the order in the Swiggy app. Check its current status and ETA. Swiggy’s tracking documentation describes a flow that can show order status, ETA, delivery-partner location, store, address, items and payment details; the fields available to customers may vary by app version or city. See Swiggy’s Instamart order-tracking documentation.
- Keep the order ID available. It is the key reference for tracking and support. Save the payment record and, if useful, a screenshot of the status or ETA.
- Use help for that order if it is overdue or stuck. Explain what has happened and include the order ID. Follow the current in-app support route and keep any response or case reference.
If the order is still active but late
Use the order’s live ETA and status rather than relying on a general delivery estimate. If the ETA has passed, or the status is not changing, contact support from that order and ask for an update. Avoid canceling it just to resolve the delay until you have checked the cancellation terms shown in the app.

If Instamart canceled the order
Open the canceled order and check the stated cancellation reason and refund status. If you paid in advance, ask support whether a refund has been initiated, what amount is being considered and how it will be processed. Keep the payment record until the payment provider or app shows the outcome.

The policy says eligibility is assessed and the amount may depend on the issue; it does not promise that every order qualifies or provide a guaranteed result for a particular Instamart order.

If you are thinking of canceling a delayed order
A customer-requested cancellation is different from a cancellation by the merchant or platform. Swiggy’s general policy says customers are generally not entitled to cancel after placing an order and that a full cancellation fee may be charged. Before confirming a cancellation, read the terms displayed for your specific order and ask in-app support what would apply.
Apply the general policy cautiously to Instamart: Swiggy’s terms describe Instamart as a distinct entity with its own terms and direct Instamart product complaints to Instamart. Check the current terms and support response for the order rather than treating the general two-hour policy as a guaranteed Instamart refund. See Swiggy’s terms and conditions.

Which contact route should you use?
Use the help or support route shown on the affected order in the app. Swiggy’s developer checkout documentation discusses order IDs in support and cancellation flows and gives a phone number for integrators to share with cancellation-requesting users. Because that document is developer-facing, it does not establish that the number is a verified consumer support channel. Verify any phone contact in the current app before calling.
