If a Fortnite quest objective seems stuck, check its exact requirements and mode in the Quest tab, then look for a known issue or game update before trying bigger fixes. The right next step depends on whether you’re dealing with a Quest Pack, a Save the World progress-display problem, a locked story mission, or a console technical issue.
1. Check the objective and its progress in the Quest tab
- Read the objective carefully. Confirm which Fortnite experience or mode it requires and what action it asks you to complete. Quest conditions can differ, so do not assume progress in another mode will count.
- Open Quests. Epic says the Quest tab is available from the Lobby or during a match. Check whether the displayed progress has changed; this can distinguish progress that is recorded from progress that is not obvious during gameplay.
For a Quest Pack, select the pack in Quests and review its required Global Daily Bonus Goals. Epic says only three Global Daily Bonus Goals are given per day, additional Daily Quests do not count toward the pack, and the goals can be completed in any Fortnite experience. Check progress under Daily/Daily Quests. These rules apply to Quest Packs, not to every Fortnite quest. Epic’s Quest Pack instructions

2. Check for a known issue and install updates
Search the exact error text in the Epic Games Help Center, and check Fortnite Community Issues and Fortnite Status for a reported problem or workaround. Epic recommends checking for updates to both Fortnite and your platform.

3. Use the fix that matches your Save the World issue
Progress is not displayed despite the setting being enabled
For this specific Save the World problem, Epic’s instruction is: “If you do not see quest progress in Fortnite: Save the World, even though the setting is enabled, please submit a bug report in-game.” Epic’s Save the World progress article
The next main-story mission says you do not have it yet
Save the World main-story missions must be completed in order. If you completed a story quest but see “You don’t have this mission yet” when trying to start the next one, Epic suggests starting a different mission or restarting Fortnite to sync progress. Epic’s main-story mission article

4. If you play on console, try general technical troubleshooting
Epic’s console guidance includes clearing the platform cache, power cycling the console, and reinstalling Fortnite. These are general troubleshooting steps for console crashes, errors, and performance issues—not fixes Epic specifically guarantees for quest tracking. Consider reinstalling only after checking the quest requirements, known issues, and updates. If a technical issue persists beyond Epic’s suggestions, Epic says to contact the console manufacturer. When none of these cases fits
Keep the objective’s exact wording and any error message handy, then search that wording in Epic Help Center and check its current issue channels. The available Epic guidance does not provide one universal quest-tracking fix or a complete troubleshooting path for every platform and quest type.
