Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Start by finding the transaction ID (TXID) and checking its confirmation count. If it has confirmations, it was mined; if it has zero, it has not yet been mined. Don’t send the payment again just because a wallet says “pending”: the transaction may still be circulating, or the wallet may only be showing an old local record. Dogecoin transactions have no universal timeout, so there is no fixed number of hours after which a pending payment is guaranteed to disappear or return.
First, establish what happened to the transaction
- Open the sending wallet’s transaction details. Record the TXID, amount, destination address, fee if shown, and current status. Never give anyone your seed phrase, private keys, wallet backup file, or remote-access codes to “unstick” a transaction. Dogecoin Core explains that a private key permits spending DOGE; keep it secret (Dogecoin Core: Getting started).
- Look up the TXID in a reputable Dogecoin block explorer and refresh the sender wallet. Compare the TXID, destination address, and amount. An explorer showing confirmations means the network mined the transaction. The recipient or receiving service may still require more confirmations before crediting it. Dogecoin Core’s guidance treats zero confirmations as meaning the transaction has never been mined (Dogecoin Core: Getting started).
- If the explorer has no result, don’t assume the payment is canceled. A transaction may not have propagated, may have been dropped by some nodes, or may exist only as a local wallet record. A missing result in one explorer does not establish which of these occurred. Contact the sending wallet or provider before attempting another payment.
What “pending” and “stuck” can mean
A pending label is a wallet or service status, not proof that a transaction is currently held by the network. The TXID and confirmation count help distinguish an unconfirmed transaction from a wallet record that is no longer in the mempool. If a transaction has zero confirmations, it has not been mined; if it is absent from an explorer, the sender’s wallet or provider may need to establish whether it was broadcast.

Dogecoin Foundation guidance says transactions have no defined timeout and are typically discarded because of node memory limits. That does not mean every wallet automatically restores a spendable balance on a set schedule: a wallet can keep its own record after nodes have dropped the transaction. The Foundation’s advisory is dated November 11, 2021, and describes general transaction behavior rather than a live network status (Dogecoin Foundation advisory).
If the unconfirmed transaction is still active
Use a wallet-supported fee bump or RBF, if available
Check the sending wallet’s own transaction actions for a supported replace-by-fee (RBF) or fee-bump option. If the transaction is eligible and the wallet supports it, the replacement spends the relevant inputs in a new transaction with a higher fee, superseding the original. Not all wallets expose RBF, and not all transactions qualify. Review the wallet’s fee preview; a higher fee does not guarantee a particular confirmation time.

The Dogecoin Foundation’s November 11, 2021 advisory describes maintainers recommending RBF for specific transactions, replacing them with new transactions that paid a higher fee (Dogecoin Foundation advisory). That historical guidance is not evidence that every wallet offers the feature.
Don’t casually send the same payment again
The Foundation advisory also describes spending the same inputs in a different transaction when RBF is disabled. This is a technical alternative, not the same as pressing “send” a second time: competing transactions can conflict, and constructing one incorrectly can put funds at risk. Use only the wallet or provider’s official instructions, or contact its support team. Do not attempt manual transaction construction unless you understand the wallet’s process and the consequences.

- Top-Tier Security Chip, Bank-Grade Asset Protection: Equipped with an industry-leading Infineon CC EAL 6+ certified security chip, also certified by EMVCo, this chip is widely used in bank payment and identity verification systems. Your private keys are generated and stored entirely offline within the chip, ensuring they never touch the internet. This physically blocks remote hacker attacks and eliminates the risk of private key leakage, building an impregnable first line of defense for your digital assets.
- What You See Is What You Sign, Hardware Button Protection: Every transaction requires manual confirmation via physical buttons on the imKey Pro's clear display. The device intuitively shows key transaction details like the amount and address, ensuring the data hasn't been tampered with during transmission—truly achieving "What You See Is What You Sign." It also features secure PIN code protection and a self-destruct mechanism after multiple incorrect attempts (the private key is wiped after 5 consecutive wrong entries), effectively preventing brute-force attacks even if the device is lost.
- Comprehensive Multi-Chain Asset Support, Access the Web3 Ecosystem: Fully supports major mainnets and Layer 2 networks, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), LTC, ATOM, FIL, TRX and more. By adding custom RPCs, you can easily access all EVM-compatible chains like BSC, Polygon, and Avalanche. Furthermore, imKey Pro perfectly supports Layer 2 solutions such as zkSync and Arbitrum, as well as the display and storage of NFTs, meeting all your diverse on-chain needs.

The package includes the hardware wallet, a USB cable, and mnemonic cards, making it ready to use right out of the box—a secure and reliable gateway to the crypto world.
If Dogecoin Core shows a wallet record that is no longer in the mempool
Dogecoin Core’s 1.14.6 release added the liststucktransactions RPC to identify wallet transactions that have not been mined and are not in the mempool (Dogecoin Core release notes). This is a Core-specific diagnostic, not a general fix for third-party wallet apps.
Core’s documentation describes a narrow historical cleanup case involving users on versions 1.14.2–1.14.4 who had previously used 1.14.0. It covers checking zero-confirmation transactions with listtransactions, identifying wallet records that have not been abandoned, and using abandontransaction individually. It also documents -zapwallettxes=1 for purging pending wallet transactions in that upgrade context (Dogecoin Core: Getting started).

If an exchange or hosted wallet sent the DOGE
The custodial provider controls its withdrawal queue and internal ledger state. Contact its official support channel and ask whether the withdrawal is queued, broadcast, failed, canceled, or being reconciled. Ask for the TXID; if one exists, check it on-chain. If the provider has not issued a TXID, the transfer may not have reached the Dogecoin network. Do not pay the recipient again until the provider establishes the first withdrawal’s status.

Dogecoin Core’s official fee recommendation document was last updated for version 1.14.6. Its recommended defaults reflect developers’ estimates at the time of that release; they are not a live fee quote, a rule for every wallet or miner, or a confirmation-time guarantee (Dogecoin Core fee recommendation).

| Core 1.14.6 document figure | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte | Recommended transaction fee in the document. |
| 0.01 DOGE | Dust limit/discard threshold. |
| 0.001 DOGE | Replace-by-fee increment. |
| 0.001 DOGE per kilobyte | Default minimum relay fee. |
| 0.0001 DOGE | Default increment used for replacement/mempool limiting. |
The document distinguishes recommended fee and miner-inclusion defaults from lower relay and mempool acceptance policies. It also says that since Core 1.14.5, fees are calculated from exact transaction size rather than the prior rounding function: its 192-byte example costs 0.00192 DOGE at 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte. Actual transaction sizes vary. Check the fee policy and documentation for your wallet before broadcasting or replacing a transaction.
