Before buying a Canon camera or printer in India, verify the exact model and bundle, confirm the seller is authorized and the product qualifies for Canon India warranty, and check the service route. For printers, also compare workload and compatible supplies—not just the device price. Canon says prices, stock, specifications and offers can change without notice, so confirm the current terms for the specific product before paying.
What should you check before buying a Canon camera in India?
Match the model and kit to your use
Decide what matters for your photography or video: stills, video, portability, subjects and shooting distance, and lens choice. Check the exact model variant and bundle contents; a camera body and a kit that includes a lens are not the same purchase. Confirm that the included lens suits the subjects and distances you expect to shoot, and check the lens system if you may add lenses later.

Canon India’s EOS R50 RF-S18-45mm kit illustrates why the listing details matter: Canon specifies an included RF-S18-45mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens, 4K 30p recording described as 6K oversampled, and Full HD 120p. Those are specifications for this kit, not a recommendation for every buyer. Check the exact model on Canon India support for specifications, manuals, software, drivers and firmware.

Check India warranty eligibility and service
Canon India’s camera and lens warranty terms cover products sold by Canon India or its authorized dealers, resellers and authorized online resellers, and apply only in India. A camera or lens bought outside India is not covered by CIPL’s India warranty. The camera terms describe one year of standard warranty plus one additional year, with carry-in service; they require proof of purchase invoice showing the seller’s GSTN and the warranty card for warranty service. Read the current terms for the exact model, since category- and promotion-specific provisions may apply. See Canon India warranty terms.

Use Canon’s India sales and service locator to find sales, service or spare-parts locations. Canon recommends contacting a store to confirm stock and opening hours before visiting. Keep your invoice and serial-number information, and do not assume an imported listing has India warranty coverage.
Which Canon printer should you buy for home use?
Choose by workload and features
Start with your likely monthly page count and the share of colour, photo and black-and-white printing. Then decide whether you need scanning, copying or fax, and identify the paper formats you use. Compare the relevant printer class—cartridge inkjet, refillable ink tank or laser—and the model’s print-only or multifunction features. Check for essentials such as auto-duplex printing, an automatic document feeder (ADF), LAN or Wi-Fi, an LCD, and mobile printing rather than assuming they come with every variant.

- Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC technology

- Use the EOS Utility Webcam Beta Software (Mac and Windows) to turn your compatible Canon camera into a high-quality webcam. Compatible Lenses- Canon EF Lenses (including EF-S lenses, excluding EF-M lenses)
Canon India’s printer catalogue lets you compare categories and features, including monthly-volume bands and paper formats. For example, Canon lists the PIXMA G3770 as a wireless refillable ink-tank model with print, scan and copy, Wi-Fi, AirPrint, Mopria and Direct Wireless, and a recommended monthly volume of 150–1,500 pages. That is a product-specific recommendation, not a universal home-printing target.

Understand ink yield before estimating running cost
Canon India lists the G3770’s standard A4 plain-paper yield as 6,000 mono pages and 7,700 colour pages; its economy-mode estimates are 7,600 mono and 8,100 colour pages. These are Canon’s estimates, not a promise of the pages every buyer will get. Canon says declared bottle yields use its individual test method with the ISO/IEC 24712 colour chart and continuous-printing simulation, with replacement bottles after initial setup. Actual yield can vary with page content and coverage, settings, temperature, humidity and printing frequency; the first bundled ink set is not the basis for the stated subsequent-bottle yield. Check the current figures on the PIXMA G3770 specification page.
Rank #3
- 16MP Sensor: Captures detailed photos with a CMOS sensor for everyday shooting
- Optical Zoom: 5x optical zoom with a 28mm wide angle lens for flexible framing indoors or outdoors
- Full HD Video: Records 1080p video for travel clips, family moments, or simple vlogging
- Memory Support: Works with Class 10 SD, SDHC, or SDXC cards up to 512GB
- Rechargeable Battery: Included LB-012 lithium-ion battery charges in the camera over USB with the supplied adapter in about 2 hours; charge it for at least 4 hours before first use to maximize battery life
The G3770 uses GI-71 black, cyan, magenta and yellow ink bottles and an MC-G04 maintenance cartridge. For any printer, verify compatible ink, toner and maintenance parts on the exact model page, then check their current prices. Without current supply prices and assumptions about your print mix, a per-page cost cannot be reliably calculated from yield alone.
Check setup, support and warranty
Confirm that the printer connects to the computers and phones you use, and that the exact variant has the features you need, such as duplexing or an ADF. Look up the model on Canon India support for manuals, software, drivers and firmware.
Canon India says standard printer warranty coverage is generally one year from purchase for listed printer categories, with Selphy exceptions; service type depends on product and location. Consumables such as ink and toner are excluded. Review the current warranty terms for the printer category and service conditions before treating warranty as part of the purchase’s value.
