The HP OmniBook X Flip Next Gen AI 14-fk0069AU is the 16 GB, 512 GB, Ryzen AI 5 340 configuration with a 14-inch 1920×1200 touch IPS display and Wi-Fi 6E—not the OLED or Wi-Fi 7 version listed among options for the wider series. CHOICE lists it at A$1,999 and marks it discontinued, but that listing does not establish whether it is unavailable from every Australian seller. The public review page shows specifications, not the model’s test results, so its battery life and real-world performance cannot be judged from the available evidence. CHOICE’s model listing

HP’s Australian 14-fk0000 series documentation describes a broader family, not a guarantee that every option appears in this SKU. The family includes Ryzen AI 7 H 350 processors, up to 32 GB of onboard memory, 1 TB storage, a 2880×1800 OLED touch display, and Wi-Fi 7 alongside lower-tier options. HP cautions that components vary with configuration and country or region. For the 14-fk0069AU, use the specific CHOICE listing: 16 GB, 512 GB, 1920×1200 IPS, and Wi-Fi 6E. Is its screen OLED?
No: the 14-fk0069AU is listed with a 1920×1200 IPS panel. The 2880×1800 OLED display is a family-level option and should not be assumed for this model. If a retailer page uses the broad OmniBook X Flip family name, confirm the full SKU and panel type in the listing before purchase. The cited specifications do not state brightness, color coverage, or refresh rate, so those qualities cannot be assessed here.

What does the laptop offer for everyday use?
On paper, 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD provide a mainstream configuration for typical productivity, browsing, video calls, and media use. The integrated Radeon 840M is not a discrete graphics processor. These component names alone do not establish application speed, gaming capability, or sustained performance; the accessible model-specific review does not expose benchmark scores or tester comments.
CHOICE’s public page identifies the product and specifications, but keeps its expert rating, pros and cons, test scores, battery results, and model-specific comments behind membership access. The page names Denis Gallagher as a CHOICE Senior project officer for Digital home products and notes that Elias Plastiras tests computers in the CHOICE lab; it does not publish their findings for this SKU. HP’s own OmniBook X Flip article provides manufacturer context, including the convertible’s modes, but its broad battery and performance statements are promotional rather than disclosed independent test results.

How long does the battery last?
A tested runtime for the 14-fk0069AU is not available on the publicly visible CHOICE page, and HP’s broad battery claims do not establish how long this exact configuration lasts in use. HP’s series documentation lists a 59 Wh battery, but it warns that specifications vary by configuration. Battery life also depends on workload, screen brightness, wireless use, and power settings; without a disclosed test of this SKU, a specific number of hours would be unsupported.
Which ports and accessories are listed?
CHOICE confirms one USB4 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and an additional USB-C port on the exact model. HP’s family documentation describes a USB4 Type-C port, another 10 Gbps USB-C port, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a headphone/microphone combo port, and a 65 W USB-C adapter option. Because HP labels these as family specifications that can vary, verify the retailer’s exact-SKU details for any port or adapter requirement beyond the ports CHOICE confirms.

It may suit someone who wants a 14-inch touchscreen convertible with 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, and a conventional 1920×1200 IPS panel, provided the exact SKU is available at an acceptable price. The evidence does not support a stronger verdict on value, speed, or battery endurance: the accessible independent review omits its tests, and CHOICE’s listed A$1,999 price may not reflect today’s market.

CHOICE marks the model discontinued. Treat that as the status of its listing, not proof of universal unavailability. Check current Australian stock, seller identity, warranty terms, and the complete model number before ordering. When comparing it with another 14-inch convertible, weigh exact-SKU street price, display specifications, memory and storage upgradeability, independently measured battery life under comparable conditions, weight, ports, included accessories, warranty, and disclosed review results. The available sources do not establish comparable battery or benchmark results for ranking this laptop against rivals.
