Its official series description presents the concept as an impressive-size figure that highlights each character’s distinctive beauty and 艶感, a Japanese term associated with gloss, luster or a polished visual appeal. The Dragon Ball Official Site uses a complementary description, calling the series one specialized in reproducing anime and manga heroines.
These are positioning statements from the companies responsible for the line. They tell you what the series is intended to emphasize, but they do not establish that every release is larger, more detailed or better made than every figure in another Banpresto series. No official statement establishes a controlled, line-wide comparison of sculpt quality, paint accuracy, durability or value.

Which franchises and characters appear in the line?
The catalog is a moving selection rather than a permanent roster. Official listings have included properties such as Chainsaw Man, Ranma 1/2, One Piece, BLEACH, Re:Zero, My Hero Academia, Gundam and Dandadan, among others. Because releases change over time, a franchise appearing in a past catalog does not guarantee that a particular character is currently available.
The series identity therefore comes from its presentation approach, not from one fictional universe or one fixed cast. A collector can encounter figures based on very different animation and manga properties while still seeing the GLITTER&GLAMOURS name on the product.
How character interpretation changes from figure to figure
“Character-specific” is the most useful way to understand the line. The sculptor and product team can select an outfit, stance and styling that suit the subject instead of applying one identical pose to every release.

Individual product pages show that clothing can be a major differentiator. The Banpresto-branded Ranma 1/2 listing describes the character in a martial-arts outfit. That is a product-level choice, not a rule that all GLITTER&GLAMOURS figures use action costumes or uniforms. When comparing releases, read the exact listing to see which version of a character has been selected.

Pose and silhouette
The same Ranma listing describes a dynamic pose. Other characters may be presented with a different stance or body line. Pose affects the figure’s footprint, visual emphasis and the amount of display space it needs, so a nominal height alone is not enough when planning a shelf.
Beauty and finish as design goals
The series language about beauty and luster points to a presentation priority: the finished figure is meant to make the character’s appearance the visual focus. It does not guarantee a particular paint technique, facial expression or level of sculptural complexity. Those details must be evaluated release by release from the official photographs and specifications.
Do GLITTER&GLAMOURS figures have different color versions?
Some do. The Dragon Ball Official Site’s announcement for Videl states that the 2021 release was offered in two color styles. This is clear evidence of a variant for that release, not evidence that every character receives two versions.

When a listing offers multiple color styles, treat each style as its own buying decision. Confirm the exact color name or product code, inspect photographs for the differences and check the seller’s description before ordering. A listing that says only “GLITTER&GLAMOURS figure” may not identify which color version is included.

How large are the figures, and what are they made from?
There is no single height or material specification for the entire line in official listings. Two Banpresto Spain product listings demonstrate why the individual page matters:

The difference between 20 cm and 21 cm is small, but it can matter when a shelf, acrylic case or dust cover has a tight internal height. Measure the available space and allow room for the base, hair, accessories and any pose that extends sideways or forward. Do not assume that a figure described as “impressive-size” has a specific standardized scale.
How were these figures sold?
The clearest documented example is Videl. In an announcement dated 25 August 2021, the Dragon Ball Official Site said that GLITTER & GLAMOROUS Videl would begin a progressive release in game centers across Japan on Thursday, 26 August 2021. It identified the item as a BANDAI SPIRITS product and described its Japanese price as a claw-machine prize.
That announcement is a historical example, not current release guidance for every character. A release may be encountered through an arcade prize machine in Japan, a specialist retailer, a resale marketplace or another regional channel. The purchase method outside Japan varies, and no single worldwide retail arrangement is established.

What “prize figure” means for a buyer
A prize-machine origin changes how you should read a listing. The figure may be sold second-hand by someone who won it, or new by a retailer that imported stock. “New” can mean unopened packaging, while “used” can mean anything from displayed to previously handled; read the condition notes and photographs rather than relying on the series name.
The official information does not standardize prices. The Japanese claw-machine price attached to the 2021 Videl announcement cannot be converted into a current international retail price, and it should not be used to estimate what another character costs today.
How to compare two GLITTER&GLAMOURS figures
Use the same questions for both products. This prevents the series name from doing more work than the actual specifications support.

A practical buying checklist
- Identify the complete product. Record the character, franchise, series name and any color designation. A generic search result may combine several releases.
- Open the exact product listing. Confirm the stated height, materials, pose and outfit. If a specification is absent, treat it as unknown rather than filling it in from another figure.
- Check the item’s condition. For a new listing, look for sealed or unopened packaging. For a used item, ask about display history, missing parts, paint wear, sun exposure and box damage.
- Verify the seller and region. Confirm whether the item is local stock, an import or a prize figure resold by an individual. Delivery costs, customs and return rights can differ substantially.
- Match the version to the photographs. If the character has multiple color styles, compare the supplied images with the official product appearance and make sure the selected variant is named in the order details.
- Measure your display space. Use the listed height as a starting point, then account for the base and the pose’s width and depth. A case sized exactly to the stated height may still be too tight.
What the series name does—and does not—tell you
The GLITTER&GLAMOURS label reliably tells you that the product belongs to a Banpresto/BANDAI SPIRITS line positioned around character beauty, luster and substantial presentation. It also signals that the catalog can span many anime and manga franchises.

It does not, by itself, tell you the exact scale, material, colorway, release channel, current price or condition. It also cannot prove that one release is objectively higher quality than another. Those conclusions require product-specific evidence, and the official pages do not provide a line-wide laboratory test, market study or uniform pricing schedule.
How to interpret the available evidence
For current choices, prioritize the manufacturer or brand’s individual product page over an old announcement. The Banpresto Navi series catalog is useful for confirming the line and finding catalog examples, but its contents change. A dated announcement such as the 25 August 2021 Videl notice is valuable for documenting what happened at that time, not for predicting today’s release schedule.
Likewise, the 21 cm Ranma specification and 20 cm Fubuki specification are concrete product facts, not averages. They show that measurements differ and that materials may be listed for one release but omitted for another. If a retailer’s data conflicts with the official listing, ask the seller to clarify the exact edition before paying.
Display and collection planning
Because the line covers different franchises and poses, a collection can look cohesive by series name while still requiring mixed storage solutions. Keep taller or more extended poses toward the back, leave clearance for hair and accessories, and use a dust cover or cabinet whose internal dimensions exceed the published figure height and footprint. Choose the accessory by measurement rather than by assuming all GLITTER&GLAMOURS products fit one standard case.
For a mixed-franchise shelf, label each figure with its character, color style and release source. That record is especially useful when two versions look similar or when a prize figure is later removed from its original packaging.
