Modal V06 is a free, split-screen registration popup template from Colorlib. It supplies front-end interface code, not a working account system: you must connect its form to a backend or form service before it can create or store accounts. Colorlib’s September 2026 guide says its rebuilt modal snippets can run without Bootstrap’s JavaScript or jQuery, including in Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects.
What Modal V06 includes
The template is intended for account registration and defaults to an activities-app use case. Its split-screen design leaves room for additional information beside the form. Colorlib’s 2026 guide also describes autocomplete in the form. See the Modal V06 page for its preview and download.

Colorlib’s page displays January 12, 2021 as its page date, while its template details separately list “Released: 2025.” Those are two different labels on the page; neither should be treated as a correction of the other.
Does Modal V06 require Bootstrap?
Not according to Colorlib’s September 2026 guide, which says its rebuilt modal templates use HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript without Bootstrap’s JavaScript or jQuery. The guide says they can be used on their own or inside Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 projects. This is a statement about the rebuilt collection, not an independent verification of the specific downloaded V06 files.

Bootstrap’s own modal component is a separate implementation. For example, Bootstrap 5.3 documents its own JavaScript and data-attribute behavior in its modal documentation. Don’t assume that a Colorlib snippet behaves like Bootstrap’s built-in modal just because the template page calls it a Bootstrap modal.
License and attribution
The Modal V06 page lists the template under CC BY 3.0. Colorlib’s September 2026 guide says the snippets may be used in personal and commercial projects under that license if the credit link is retained. Review the license and attribution requirements before adapting or deploying the code.

What it takes to make registration work
The template provides a front end. It does not by itself establish that an account was created, validate credentials on a server, or store user information. Colorlib says the forms must be connected to your own backend or a form service before production use.

- Connect submission to the backend or form service that will handle registration.
- Verify that fields have clear labels and that success, validation, and error states are understandable.
- Check keyboard access, focus placement, dismissal behavior, and whether focus can reach the page behind the modal.
- Test the layout on a phone; Colorlib recommends keeping modal forms short because long forms become cramped on small screens.
Check modal behavior before adopting it
Colorlib’s guide recommends moving focus into the modal, keeping keyboard focus from reaching the page behind it, closing with Escape, returning focus to the triggering control, and providing a clear close control. The guide says its modals keep focus inside and close with Escape or a backdrop click. Confirm those behaviors in the current V06 preview or downloaded files rather than assuming every recommendation is implemented in this specific template.
Whether V06 fits your project depends on how much of the interaction you want to replace. Compare your existing modal’s JavaScript approach, the number of form fields, keyboard and dismissal behavior, the backend connection, and whether the required credit link works for your deployment.
