2. Tune before the catch
Tuning is a separate stage from capturing. The official description instructs players to tune the Scroom before it commits. 3. Keep the Scroom in the catch zone

An unofficial controls reference describes dragging a frequency slider during tuning and dragging the creature marker during catching. Treat those gestures as provisional: check the live game’s prompts, especially if you are playing on a different device or after an update.
