Microsoft’s XP is a new division within Xbox, not a console, game, subscription, or player experience-points system. Announced on October 8, 2026, it brings together work intended to extend Xbox franchises through film and television, consumer products, live experiences, and partnerships. What the four XP areas are responsible for

Who leads XP
Xbox named Kayleen Walters president of XP. In its October 8, 2026 announcement, Xbox said Walters spent 13 years at Lucasfilm before later working at Mojang.
