DeepVerse builds on SPF’s #100DesiDeepTechs initiative, developed with MeitY Startup Hub, Startup India (DPIIT) and IIT Madras to give deeptech founders a voice in policymaking. According to the launch announcement, #100DesiDeepTechs was announced in July 2025 and formally launched at TiECON Delhi in October 2025. The initiative included founder discussions about regulation, capital, talent and international expansion.
What the launch does—and does not—establish
SPF President and CEO Shweta Rajpal Kohli said the platform is intended to give founders and investors a role in policy discussions, arguing that long development timelines make predictable rules important. MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan also welcomed the multi-stakeholder approach, highlighting the participation of founders, investors, academia and government.
