How do I view system logs in Deepin?
Open the Deepin Log Viewer application from your desktop environment to use its graphical interface. The Debian manpage documents the terminal command deepin-log-viewer [OPTIONS...], with two options:
deepin-log-viewer --help(or-h) displays help.deepin-log-viewer --version(or-v) displays version information.
The documented command options do not provide a list of log files, search filters, export functions, or journal-specific behavior. Those capabilities should not be assumed from the available documentation. Debian manpage.

What technology does it use?
The GUI is built with DTK and Qt. The project states support for Qt 5.12 or newer. It is intended for Deepin and other Debian-like environments where a suitable package is available; that does not guarantee availability on every Linux distribution. Project README.
How do I install deepin-log-viewer on Debian?
Use your distribution’s package manager when a package is available for your Debian release. Package availability and version vary by distribution and can change over time. Debian’s testing package page lists 6.5.8+ds1-1+b1 for trixie and 6.5.10+ds1-1.1 for testing and unstable; these are Debian-specific package versions, not a promise that another release or distribution offers the same build. The project README documents an APT-based build sequence. Package names and dependency availability can differ by distribution, so consult its packaging before attempting these commands:

sudo apt-get build-dep deepin-log-viewer. - From the source checkout, create and enter a build directory:
cd deepin-log-viewer, thenmkdir buildandcd build. - Configure and compile:
cmake .., thenmake. - Install the compiled application:
sudo make install.

Why does a source build need polkit?
The README cautions that polkit is required to run a source-built application. It instructs builders to install com.deepin.pkexec.logViewerAuth.policy in /usr/share/polkit-1/actions/, copy the logViewerAuth helper to /usr/bin, and then run ./deepin-log-viewer. This is an authorization setup requirement described for source-built execution; the documentation does not establish that every packaged installation requires users to perform those manual steps.
