What the travel-template V18 is for
Colorlib’s travel-template collection describes Search Form V18 as an HTML5 form wizard for travel and tourism websites, including hotel, car-rental, and flight search contexts. A separate Colorlib guide presents it more specifically as a hotel-search form and describes a nature background image and customizable code. These are intended use cases and design descriptions, not evidence that each workflow is implemented or connected to live inventory.

The nature image may suit an outdoors or destination-oriented design, but the downloaded template should be checked to see whether the image is included and what rights apply to it. Colorlib’s general search-form category says snippets can be embedded in a website and that coding is needed for successful integration: Colorlib search-form category.

A front-end form can present fields and collect visitor input. A functioning search requires those inputs to reach an appropriate service, such as a site’s own search endpoint or an integrated travel provider. The available listing does not establish that V18 includes a database, inventory connection, booking workflow, or backend processing. Treat those as separate implementation requirements unless the downloaded code demonstrates otherwise.

Before adopting it, inspect the current download rather than relying on the listing description alone:
- Fields: Check that the form asks for the information the intended search actually needs, such as destination and travel dates for a hotel search.
- Submission: Confirm the form action, input names, validation, and what happens after submission. A visual form alone does not produce useful results.
- Integration: Determine what endpoint or service will process the submitted values, and implement the server-side or provider connection required for results or booking.
- Responsive layout and accessibility: Test the downloaded version on small screens and with keyboard navigation and assistive technologies. These properties are not established by the listing.
- Assets and attribution: Check the license for the code and separately verify the rights and attribution requirements for any bundled image or other asset.
Do not confuse it with the other “V18” search bar
Colorlib also lists a separate item called “Search Form/Bar V18,” described as a top overlay search bar. That is not the travel search-form wizard discussed here. The travel-template listing reports a CC BY 3.0 license. Check the current listing and the license terms before using the code, including any attribution obligations. Do not assume those terms also cover a background image or other included asset; the listing description does not spell out asset-level rights.
The listing metadata surfaced for this item is inconsistent: it shows a page date of March 8, 2021 and a separate “Released: 2025” value.
