What does Amazon Prime Video include?
Prime Video is the service and catalog; access to individual titles depends on how each one is labeled. Amazon’s catalog distinguishes titles available through Prime or a trial from titles marked “Available to rent or buy.” Some titles are also associated with subscriptions. Seeing a movie or show in the catalog does not, by itself, mean you can stream it at no extra charge.

On Fire TV, Amazon uses the label “Watch Now with Prime” for videos included with Prime. That label describes the access shown in that interface; other listings may require payment or a subscription.
Is Prime Video included with Amazon Prime?
In the United States, Amazon presents Prime Video as a Prime membership benefit. That does not establish the membership benefits offered in every country: arrangements and availability can vary by marketplace. Check Amazon’s local membership and title pages to confirm what is included where you live.

Prime membership is not the only possible way to have Prime Video-related access or charges. Amazon’s billing help identifies Amazon Prime membership renewal, a Prime Video subscription, and add-on subscriptions as distinct possible sources of charges. Separate subscriptions may renew on different dates.
Why might a movie or show cost extra?
- Included with Prime: The title is available to stream through the applicable Prime membership benefit.
- Rental or purchase: The listing says “Available to rent or buy”; access requires a separate transaction rather than being included merely because the title appears in the catalog.
- Subscription: The title is associated with a subscription, which may be separate from Prime membership.
Catalog labels, plans, and availability change over time and by location. Check the current local listing for a particular title before assuming it is included or quoting a price.

How do you watch Prime Video?
Prime Video can be watched through compatible devices; Fire TV is one option, not a requirement. Amazon’s Fire TV help describes opening Prime Video from the home screen, using search, or launching the Prime Video app. The exact route depends on the device you use.

- Confirm whether the title is included with your membership, marked for rental or purchase, or tied to another subscription.
- Check the membership and catalog pages for your country rather than relying on another marketplace’s terms.
- If you see an unexpected charge, check whether it relates to Prime membership renewal, a Prime Video subscription, or an add-on; their billing dates may differ.
