A screen built into a USB-C charging cable can show live charging measurements. On UGREEN’s Nexode 240W cable, it reports voltage, current and power—not video or anything displayed by the connected device.
What the cable’s screen measures
UGREEN says the Nexode cable screen displays charging voltage in volts (V), current in amps (A) and power in watts (W) in real time. These readings let you observe the electrical measurements while a device is charging; they are not a guarantee that the cable is delivering its maximum rated power.

What the 240W rating means
The cable is rated for up to 240W of USB Power Delivery 3.1 charging, specified as 48V/5A. “Up to” is the key qualification: the connected charger and device affect the power delivered, so the rating is a maximum supported capability, not a promised charging rate for every setup.

Charging, data and video are separate capabilities
A USB-C connector does not, by itself, tell you what a cable can do. Check charging support, data-transfer speed and video output as separate specifications. For this model, UGREEN lists USB 2.0 data transfer at up to 480 Mbps and explicitly says the cable does not support video output or monitor extension. Its small screen shows charging readings; it is not a display connection.

UGREEN’s US listing offers the cable in 3.3-foot and 6.6-foot lengths. Choose a length for your setup, then confirm that the charger and device meet your charging needs and that the cable supports any data or video function you require.

What to check when comparing display-equipped cables
- Charging: Check the supported charging protocol and maximum wattage. A cable’s maximum rating does not establish the power your particular setup will deliver.
- Screen readings: Confirm which measurements appear; this model reports voltage, current and power.
- Data: Check the stated data standard and speed. This model is USB 2.0, up to 480 Mbps.
- Video: Look for an explicit video-output specification. This model does not support video output or monitor extension.
- Length: Select a length suited to where the charger and device will sit; UGREEN lists 3.3-foot and 6.6-foot options for its US product listing.
UGREEN’s product pages describe the Nexode cable’s features, but those specifications alone do not establish how it performs in a particular charging setup. Treat the screen as a way to observe charging measurements, and check the device, charger and cable specifications together.
