Dyson Japan explicitly describes a paid service that disassembles and thoroughly cleans a cordless vacuum, including internal dust and dirt, and replaces its clear bin and filter. Dyson UK describes a separate “Total Restore” service involving checks, tests, a deep clean and service. Dyson’s US repair page does not promise the same package, so check the terms for your country and model before booking.
What Dyson Japan’s deep-clean service includes
Dyson Japan says an engineer uses dedicated equipment to disassemble a cordless vacuum and clean it in detail, including internal dust and dirt that routine owner cleaning may not reach. The service replaces the clear bin and filter. It can be booked on its own or alongside a repair. Dyson Japan’s service page describes this market-specific offer.

A standard repair alone is different: Dyson Japan says it includes only simple cleaning, such as removing dust. Thorough internal disassembly and cleaning require requesting the deep-clean service.
Japan pricing and turnaround
| Service option | Published price | What the price covers |
|---|---|---|
| Deep clean by itself | ¥13,200 including tax | Deep cleaning; Dyson Japan states this price on its service page, accessed 2026. |
| Deep clean with paid repair | Additional ¥5,500 | Cleaning added to the repair price; Dyson Japan states this price on its service page, accessed 2026. |
| Deep clean with an in-warranty repair | ¥13,200 cleaning fee; repair free | Dyson Japan says the qualifying in-warranty repair is free while the cleaning fee remains payable. |
These are Japan-specific published prices, not a global Dyson rate. Confirm the current amount and eligibility with Dyson Japan before booking. Dyson says processing normally takes 72 hours from the machine’s arrival at its service center to dispatch, subject to parts and product availability; this is a stated timeframe, not a guarantee for every case.

If inspection finds a fault
For a fault covered by warranty, Dyson Japan says the repair is free but the cleaning fee still applies. For an out-of-warranty repair, the repair charge is extra and Dyson says it will advise the price in advance. The replacement clear bin and filter do not receive a separate manufacturer warranty; the original purchase warranty period applies.
What Dyson’s US repair service establishes
Dyson US describes an assessment by a Service Engineer, who advises what action is needed before work begins. For a qualifying in-warranty breakdown, Dyson says it will repair or replace the machine at no charge; repairs use genuine Dyson parts. For out-of-warranty or uncovered repairs, a Service Center employee provides an estimated repair cost after inspection. The page also explains how to ship a machine for service if visiting a center is not possible. See Dyson US repair information.

The US page does not establish that every repair includes full disassembly, filter replacement or clear-bin replacement. Before sending in a vacuum, provide its model and serial number and ask Dyson what cleaning is available locally, what the quoted fee includes, whether parts will be replaced, and whether inspection could lead to a separately priced repair.

Service guidance can differ even between nearby markets. For example, Dyson Canada asks walk-in repair customers to bring the complete machine, including the wand, hose and cleaner head, so technicians can run a full test; it recommends an official service center or authorized service partner. That is Canadian guidance, not a universal requirement. Dyson Canada’s repair guidance has the local details.

How Dyson UK’s Total Restore differs
Dyson UK describes Total Restore as checks, tests, a deep clean and service intended to restore performance and extend machine life. Ordering it authorizes Dyson to inspect and diagnose the machine and/or repair it. If a repairable fault is covered by the guarantee or statutory consumer warranty rights, Dyson says it will repair it free. Otherwise, it will tell the customer the applicable fee in advance and will not carry out a paid repair without agreement. Dyson says the service focuses on cleaning, inspection and maintenance and does not affect the existing warranty. These terms apply to the UK offer; consult Dyson UK’s repair and servicing information for its current conditions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to confirm before booking
- Whether the offer is available in your country and covers your exact vacuum model.
- Whether the technician disassembles the machine and which internal areas are cleaned.
- Whether the filter, bin or other parts are replaced, and whether replacements are included in the fee.
- Whether checks and diagnosis are included, and how repairs are quoted and approved.
- The total cost, including tax, shipping and any separate repair fee.
- The expected turnaround and what happens if a fault is found.
- How the service and replacement parts affect your existing warranty.
For routine upkeep between services, Dyson US provides official replacement parts and accessories. Filter fit depends on the vacuum model, and installing a replacement filter is not the same as a professional internal disassembly and clean.
