To participate, find an eligible Quest, accept or start it, follow its instructions before the deadline, then select Claim Reward. The task, availability, and reward depend on the individual Quest and your eligibility.
How a Discord Quest works
Discord describes Quests as a rewarded ad format: participating can introduce you to a game or other content while earning a reward. Quests are opt-in, and Discord says their promotion terms appear in Quest Home or after you accept. Each campaign has its own requirements and acceptance and completion timeframe, so read the Quest card before starting. Discord’s Quests FAQ is the source for current instructions and availability.

- Find and review a Quest. Check the task, deadline, eligibility, and reward on its card.
- Accept or start it. Use the control shown for that Quest; Play Quests and Video Quests may have different controls.
- Complete the stated task. Follow the campaign instructions on the supported device or client.
- Claim the reward. Select Claim Reward from the Quest bar or Quest Home. Completing the task does not necessarily claim it automatically.
Where to find Quests
Desktop or browser
Look for the Quest bar, or open Discover > Quests to reach Quest Home. The Quest card explains how to begin and what to do.

Discord lists Settings > Quests as a way to discover Quests and Quest Home as a place to claim rewards. Mobile acceptance, tracking, and viewing are in beta and limited to specific Quests; a campaign available on desktop may not be available on your phone. Discord’s current FAQ should be checked for the particular Quest’s supported flow.

Quest tasks are not all the same
Discord’s FAQ describes several task types. The card for a specific campaign is the authority for its requirements; a newer or experimental format should not be assumed to apply to other Quests.

What rewards you can get—and how to redeem them
Quest rewards can include Discord avatar decorations, in-game items, or Orbs. The exact reward and its deadline and redemption terms are campaign-specific. After claiming, a Discord reward such as Orbs or a decoration is added to your Discord account. A partner-game reward may instead provide a code and instructions for redeeming it on the game’s website, so check the claim screen and any campaign terms.

What Orbs are
Orbs are virtual rewards earned through Quests and used in the Discord Shop. Discord’s current Orbs FAQ lists Nitro credits, items from main collections, and other eligible Shop rewards as possible redemptions. Shop availability can change, so check the live Shop for what you can currently claim.
Orbs are not cash or a general-purpose transferable currency. Discord says they cannot be bought or gifted, transferred between accounts, exchanged for money, or moved to another platform. Items claimed with Orbs are not refundable.

Nitro-related Orb terms
Discord’s Orbs FAQ states that eligible Nitro subscribers may receive a 1.2x Orb multiplier on qualifying Orb-reward Quests that started on or after May 8, 2026. Trial and gifted Nitro subscriptions qualify; Nitro Basic and Nitro obtained through Nitro Credits do not. The FAQ also describes a monthly Orb benefit for maintaining an eligible Nitro subscription. Because these conditions and benefits can change, confirm the live FAQ before relying on them.
Discord labels Orb Challenges an experiment on desktop and browser and says they are not widely available. Whether you see one, and what it offers, can vary.

Why a Quest or reward may not appear
Not seeing a Quest does not establish a specific problem with your account. Discord says availability depends on eligibility and region, and it does not make every promotion available to every user. A Quest may also be limited to a particular platform or account, or may no longer be within its acceptance window. Discord says users aged 13–17 are limited to three Quests per day; that stated cap does not apply to all users.

- Check another supported client. Mobile support is limited to specific Quests, so check the desktop app or browser if the campaign instructions call for it.
- Read the Quest card again. Confirm the deadline, task, region or account eligibility, and whether the reward requires a separate redemption step.
- If progress is stuck, Discord recommends restarting the app and checking for updates.
- If you completed a linked-game action, allow up to 36 hours for the game developer’s activity data to be processed before treating the task as unrecognized.
- For unresolved Orb or account-specific issues, use the support route linked from Discord’s Orbs FAQ.
Quest promotions and privacy controls
Discord says Quest participation is opt-in and provides controls to hide an individual promotion or opt out of Quest promotions; its FAQ also describes personalization settings. Look in Discord’s current settings and Quest interface for the available controls, since labels and navigation can change. Discord says users can disable Quest personalization at any time.
