007 First Light New Game+ carries unlocked outfits into the replay, while gadgets remain tied to the campaign’s story order. You can change outfits through the journal and swap among gadgets already unlocked at that point in the story. Completing the campaign on any difficulty unlocks the mode, which can start from the beginning or a completed checkpoint.
What carries over in New Game+?
IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 Update 1.3.0 patch notes describe two kinds of customization for a New Game+ replay:

- Outfits: Outfits you have unlocked are available during the replay. Open the journal to change outfits, then restart from a chosen checkpoint to see the selected look.
- Gadgets: You can swap gadgets during a mission, but only among those already unlocked by that point in the story. New Game+ does not make every gadget available from the start; Q’s inventions still arrive in campaign order.
The official descriptions do not give a complete account of whether collectibles, campaign challenges, TacSim progress, Intel, or other progression carry over or reset. Their status should be treated as unconfirmed rather than assumed.

Finish the full campaign on any difficulty to unlock New Game+. IO Interactive’s October 1, 2026 announcement says you can begin a replay from the campaign start or from any completed checkpoint.

Do you have to play New Game+ on 00 difficulty?
No. Completing the campaign also unlocks 00 difficulty, but the New Game+ outfit and gadget customization is available on Easy, Normal, or Hard as well as 00. That lets you choose the challenge separately from the replay features.
What 00 difficulty changes
IO Interactive describes 00 as a tougher setting with faster enemy reactions, stronger guard variants, restrictions on gadget use when guards have you in sight, two-hit kills, tighter parry and sidestep timing, and less agency gained during fights. Choose it for the increased combat challenge, not because it is required to use New Game+ customization.

What is not confirmed about carryover
The official New Game+ descriptions explain outfits, gadget access, replay entry points, and difficulty, but do not publish a full persistence or reset list. They do not establish the status of collectibles, campaign challenges, TacSim progress, Intel, or every other progression category. Avoid treating any of those as confirmed carryover or confirmed resets based on the published descriptions alone.
