It gives a trusted backend access to selected public contracts; the Core runtime and its internal policy and administration surfaces remain server-side. That boundary matters when deciding what your application can ask NEES to govern—and what your own code still has to do.
What the SDK does—and what it does not include
NEES describes Core Engine V2 as a runtime governance layer that evaluates supported response or action paths before they continue. Depending on the decision, an application may receive an outcome such as allow, clarify, escalate, or block. The application supplies context and must respond to that outcome. NEES positions governance as a complement to prompts and existing application security, not as a replacement for authentication, authorization, infrastructure security, or secure application design. Its claims apply to supported paths, not every possible deployment or regulation. NEES product overview

The Python package is a narrower client boundary to that hosted capability. NEES says the Core runtime stays server-side and API credentials belong on a trusted backend. Official SDK page The package does not distribute the engine or expose every internal capability as an API.

What nees-core-sdk 0.2.0 documents
The package-specific PyPI listing for nees-core-sdk 0.2.0 describes a synchronous client for Python 3.9 and later. Remote endpoints require HTTPS. Its documented integration surface includes:
#1 Best Overall
- POWERFUL SECURITY KEY: The Security Key C NFC is the essential physical passkey for protecting your digital life from phishing attacks. It ensures only you can access your accounts.
- WORKS WITH 1000+ ACCOUNTS: Compatible with Google, Microsoft, and Apple. A single Security Key C NFC secures 100 of your favorite accounts, including email, password managers, and more.
- FAST & CONVENIENT LOGIN: Plug in your Security Key C NFC via USB-C and tap it, or tap it against your phone (NFC) to authenticate. No batteries, no internet connection, and no extra fees required.
- TRUSTED PASSKEY TECHNOLOGY: Uses the latest passkey standards (FIDO2/WebAuthn & FIDO U2F) but does not support One-Time Passwords. For complex needs, check out the YubiKey 5 Series.
- BUILT TO LAST: Made from tough, waterproof, and crush-resistant materials. Manufactured in Sweden and programmed in the USA with the highest security standards.
- API-key-scoped chat.
- Optional session-memory read and reset, where the relevant capability is enabled.
- Safe chat evidence.
- Core-owned governed-action submission, resumption, and evidence.
- Participation in an application-owned external-action lifecycle.
Responses are typed and restricted to public-safe fields; unknown or private server fields are ignored. The SDK does not accept client assertions of authority or approval. Session-memory access is capability-gated, so its presence in the documented interface does not mean it is available to every integration. nees-core-sdk 0.2.0 on PyPI
Where the integration boundary sits
It helps to separate the governance decision from the operation that follows it. The runtime evaluates a supported path and returns a decision or public-safe evidence. The application is responsible for following the outcome; the SDK does not execute the application’s business logic.

- POWERFUL SECURITY KEY: The YubiKey 5C NFC is the most versatile physical passkey, protecting your digital life from phishing attacks. It ensures only you can access your accounts
- WORKS WITH 1000+ ACCOUNTS: Compatible with popular accounts like Google, Microsoft, and Apple. A single YubiKey 5C NFC secures 100+ of your favorite accounts, including email, password managers, and more
- FAST & CONVENIENT LOGIN: Plug in your YubiKey 5C NFC via USB and tap it, or tap it against your phone (NFC), to authenticate. No batteries, no internet connection, and no extra fees required
- MOST SECURE PASSKEY: Supports FIDO2/WebAuthn, FIDO U2F, Yubico OTP, OATH-TOTP/HOTP, Smart card (PIV), and OpenPGP. That means it’s versatile, working almost anywhere you need it
- PRIMARY & SPARE KEYS: Just like having a spare house key, we recommend buying two YubiKeys - one for daily use and one as a spare. That way you’ll never get locked out of your accounts
| Layer | Documented role | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Python SDK | Requests selected public integration contracts and returns typed, public-safe data. | Does not include the Core runtime or internal administration and policy surfaces. |
| Server-side Core runtime | Evaluates supported response or action paths and provides governance outcomes. | Its internals and policy stores are not exposed through the documented client surface. |
| Your application | Supplies request context, follows the outcome, and runs its own business operation. | SDK participation does not give NEES control over arbitrary application code or external systems. |
For a Core-owned governed action, the SDK can submit, resume, or retrieve evidence through the documented contract. For an external action owned by your application, the client can participate in the authorization boundary, but your application still performs the external operation. In either case, do not treat a client-supplied assertion as proof of authority or approval. PyPI package documentation
What remains outside the documented client surface
The 0.2.0 package description excludes API-key administration, service administration, policy or authority stores, raw diagnostics, replay or simulation, database and runtime controls, and private audit data. These exclusions are part of the integration boundary: an SDK method that returns public-safe evidence is not a window into the runtime’s internal records or control plane. PyPI package documentation

Why the official pages describe different capabilities
NEES’s homepage still describes version 0.1.1 as exposing authenticated chat only, while the package-specific PyPI listing for 0.2.0 documents the broader set of capabilities above. For method-level detail, the version-specific package listing is the more current reference. The discrepancy means readers should check the package version rather than assume the homepage’s older description covers the current package. NEES homepage PyPI 0.2.0 listing
Preview access, credentials, and terms
NEES describes the SDK and Governance Lab as public developer-preview offerings, but API credentials are issued separately for approved integrations. The publisher has not published commercial plans. Public website access does not itself grant private API or production access: terms effective 24 September 2026 say API access may be reviewed, limited, suspended, or revoked. The same terms state that public documentation and examples do not grant rights to the Core implementation, proprietary algorithms, internal architecture, or service-side technology. The SDK license is included with the package. NEES homepage NEES terms

How to read NEES’s published validation figures
The NEES homepage reports an engineering snapshot attributed to Nainacore Emotional Tech in 2026. The publisher says the validation applies to the current supported release scope; these figures are not independent certification and do not establish results for arbitrary third-party deployments. What this boundary means for an integration decision
- If you need a Python client for documented, API-key-scoped integration contracts, inspect the exact package version and its supported methods.
- If you expect to manage policies, credentials, service settings, internal audit data, or runtime controls from Python, those functions are not in the documented 0.2.0 client surface.
- If your workflow triggers an external operation, keep execution in your application and treat the governance result as an input to your control flow—not as proof that the SDK performs or secures the operation for you.
- If you need API or production access, account for the separate credential approval process and the access terms before designing around availability.
Founder Piyush Jambhulkar described the design as a gradual exposure of stable public contracts rather than turning every internal capability into an API. Founder launch commentary That is the practical distinction: the SDK is the supported integration surface; the governance runtime behind it remains a hosted service.
