The available summary of his April 23, 2026, Bloomberg interview does not include a transcript, so it does not establish that “right place to be” is Gray’s exact wording or provide the fuller context. The underlying investment question is clearer: AI needs more than chips. It also needs power, cooling, networking, data access and facilities suited to each workload.
What Gray’s reported view does—and does not—establish
A secondary listing of Gray’s Bloomberg interview, dated April 23, 2026, summarizes his outlook as favorable toward AI infrastructure and IPOs. It does not provide the full interview or a verifiable transcript, so the headline phrase should be read as a characterization of the thesis, not a confirmed direct quotation. The interview listing is the available account.

That distinction matters: an executive’s favorable sector outlook is not evidence that demand will persist at a particular level, that infrastructure projects will earn attractive returns, or that any individual security or fund is a good investment. The reported view identifies a theme; it does not settle those investment questions.
What counts as AI infrastructure
AI infrastructure is a chain of complementary resources, not simply a supply of accelerators. A model can only be trained or run at scale when compute, power, cooling, memory, networking, data access and suitable facilities work together.
#1 Best Overall
- 【Powerful Load-bearing】12U Network Rack Open Frame is constructed from durable cold rolled steel; Rack shelf supports enhance stability, wall-mounted capacity of 130lbs, the ground-mounted up to 260lbs
- 【Considerate Designs】Open-frame layout, including a top panel adding space, anti-slip shelf stops fixing devices and compatible racks for stack and expansion to meet requirements of home server rack
- 【Complete Accessories】A 12U open frame server rack, two ventilated shelves, four shelf stops, four velcro straps and a set of equipment mounting screws
- 【Versatile Application】Ideal for space-efficient multi-device setups in warehouses, retail, classrooms, offices and more; Excellent choices as AV Rack/IT Rack
- 【Effortless Setup】 Network Rack includes hardware, a comprehensive manual, mounting hole drilling template and an online assembly video to simplify setup
- Compute and memory: Accelerators perform intensive calculations, while memory bandwidth affects how quickly data can be supplied to them. Packaging complexity and interconnect speed also shape system performance.
- Power and cooling: High-density systems need dependable electricity and the facility capability to remove heat. Available power is useful only if a site can support the required cooling and scale.
- Networks and data: Fast connections help link machines and reach the data a workload needs. Data location and distance can affect performance and determine whether a site is practical.
- Workload placement: Large-scale training and latency-sensitive inference have different needs. A location suitable for dense training may not be ideal for serving users quickly; a site with power may be too far from relevant data.
WisdomTree’s May 12, 2026, commentary frames memory bandwidth, interconnect speed, packaging complexity and power availability as constraints as spending shifts from training toward inference. It is an asset manager’s perspective, not proof of an industry-wide consensus or of investment performance. WisdomTree’s commentary also discusses infrastructure exposure through two AI-focused funds, but that discussion does not establish that either fund is suitable for a particular investor.
Why power and location can bottleneck deployment
Data-center capacity cannot expand just because demand for computing rises. Projects need reliable electricity, manageable power costs, cooling, network performance and access to the data relevant to their workloads. These requirements interact: a site may have power but poor data proximity, or strong connectivity but insufficient capacity for dense, heat-producing systems.

- Space Saving: Maximum depth: 14.8". Use the wall mount network cabinet to maximize available space for retail locations, classrooms, back offices, network cabinets, and other locations where space is limited.
- Fast Heat Dissipation: The server cabinet is designed with vents to optimize airflow and avoid critical IT equipment overheating. Heat sink holes in the top, bottom, and rear panels are more conducive to heat dissipation.
- Sturdy Construction: Robust welded frame construction for durability and long service life. With 100 lbs wall-mounted load capacity and 200 lbs ground-mounted load capacity, you can place multiple devices in the server rack cabinet as needed.
- High Security: The locked glass door ensures the security of data and equipment. Wall mount rack enclosure server cabinet is ideal for use in public places such as offices, effectively protecting the security of your devices.
- Hassle-free Installation: Fully adjustable square-hole mounting rails of the wall mount server cabinet facilitate device installation. Wiring holes on the top, bottom, and rear panels provide you with easy cable routing.
Flexential’s September 8, 2026, article reports that 89% of surveyed enterprise IT leaders said reliable grid power influences AI deployment decisions. It also says 55% ranked power cost or pricing differences as the top factor influencing where AI workloads are located. Flexential attributes both figures to its State of AI Infrastructure Report; the original report was not separately reviewed, so the numbers should be understood as survey findings reported by Flexential, not independently verified measurements. Flexential’s article describes power, cooling, networking, data location and workload latency as connected siting considerations.

- Adjustable Depth: 23-40'' adjustable depth is used for servers and network equipment, ensuring enough space for AV equipment, components, and cabling, while allowing you to access ports and equipment from multiple sides.
- Strong Load Capacity: Ground-Mounted Load Capacity: 500 lbs, Wall-Mounted Load Capacity: 150 lbs. The av rack is made of carbon steel for better weldability performance and can help save space while meeting your need to place multiple devices.
- User-friendly Design: Ergonomic design makes the open frame av rack easier to use. The additional top panel is able to place other items with more available space. Roller design moves anywhere and anytime, is convenient, and is more energy-saving.
- Complete Accessories: We provide the accessories you need, including 2 x Pallets, 145 x M5*10 Cross Head Screws, 4 x Casters, 4 x M10*50 Expansion Screws,10 x M6*12 Cage Nuts, 1 x Grounding Wire, 1 x User Manual.
- Wide Application: The server rack wall mount maximizes the use of available space, suitable for retail venues, classrooms, offices, and other places where space is limited.
What would show whether the thesis is durable
The available sources describe infrastructure needs and constraints, but they do not establish how long demand will last or what returns projects will earn. To assess whether enthusiasm translates into durable economics, distinguish announcements and expected capacity from operating results.
- Deployment: Is planned capacity actually being delivered and brought into service?
- Utilization: Is the installed capacity being used by customers, rather than merely built or reserved?
- Operating economics: Do revenue and utilization support the costs of power, cooling, networking and facilities?
- Location fit: Can a site serve its intended workload with suitable power reliability, data access, latency and scalability?
- Investment outcomes: Are realized returns demonstrated, rather than inferred from demand forecasts or announced spending?
These are diligence questions, not findings about any specific company or investment. The interview summary and infrastructure commentary support a sector thesis; they do not answer them.
