Wemeet is a free WordPress theme for conferences, summits, and meetups. It comes in two editions: a block theme edited in WordPress’s Site Editor and an Elementor edition. For a new event site, the publisher recommends the block edition: its countdown, schedule, calendar file, venue page, and enquiry forms are included without extra plugins. The Elementor edition is aimed at sites already built with Elementor and requires both the free Elementor plugin and Wemeet Companion.
Which Wemeet edition should you choose?
| Edition | How you edit it | Requirements | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Block theme | WordPress Site Editor; page sections are patterns | Publisher says the included event features do not need plugins | New event sites and people who prefer WordPress-native editing |
| Elementor edition | Elementor page builder, with Wemeet-specific widgets | Free Elementor plugin and Wemeet Companion | Existing Elementor sites |
The publisher recommends the block edition for new sites and says the Elementor edition is available on GitHub. The two editions are alternative editing workflows, not evidence that the theme itself is an event-management or ticket-payment service. Colorlib’s Wemeet theme page describes the editions and their requirements.

What the block edition includes
Wemeet’s block edition is designed around a conference site rather than a generic business homepage. Its event-oriented components include:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →- A gradient hero section with a live countdown.
- An “Add to your calendar” option that provides an .ics calendar file.
- Speaker pages and a multi-day schedule with keyboard-operated tabs.
- A venue page with an OpenStreetMap.
- Ticket cards and ticket-enquiry, contact, and newsletter forms.
The publisher says these core event functions are built in and do not require plugins. Wemeet also includes eight color palettes and five type pairings. The publisher says Poppins and Open Sans are self-hosted, and describes visitor-controlled dark mode, reduced-motion behavior, translation readiness with a POT file, and form styling for Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Fluent Forms, Forminator, and Ninja Forms. These are publisher-described features, not independent usability or accessibility test results.

How to configure the event details and schedule
Set the event information
After installing and activating the block edition, open Appearance → Customize → Event to set the event name, venue, dates, and venue UTC offset. The countdown and calendar file use these same settings, so check the dates and time-zone offset before publishing. The publisher says activation creates seven starter pages and a menu only when the site has no pages; activating it on a site that already has pages leaves those pages alone.
Build or extend the schedule
The schedule is made from editable blocks. To add another day, the publisher’s instructions are to duplicate the day group and its tab, then update the anchor and the tab’s link so they still point to one another. Individual sessions are groups that can also be duplicated and edited. Verify the resulting tab navigation, especially if visitors will use a keyboard.

Does Wemeet sell tickets or process payments?
No. The included ticket form handles enquiries; it does not charge attendees or provide a complete ticketing system. If an event sells tickets online, connect a separate ticketing service or shop. The publisher says WooCommerce is supported, but a shop or ticketing setup is still needed for payment and sales handling. This means the choice is between collecting an enquiry through Wemeet’s form and adding a separate system for transactions—not between two payment modes built into the theme.
For integrations, the publisher documents a wemeet_form_handlers filter that can pass form submissions to an external system. It also says submissions go to the WordPress admin email through wp_mail() by default. If the hosting server cannot send mail reliably, the publisher suggests configuring an SMTP plugin; the filter can also be used to route submissions to a CRM, webhook, or mailing-list plugin. Those external routes require their own configuration and are distinct from the theme’s included form.
Compatibility, accessibility, and update disclosures
Colorlib lists WordPress 6.6 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, and “Tested up to” WordPress 7.1, with a GNU General Public License v2 or later license. These are publisher-listed compatibility details and can change, so check the linked theme page against the versions on the site where you intend to install Wemeet.

Rank #4
The publisher says its palettes are measured against WCAG AA, including text on banner gradients, before release. The page does not provide an independent audit or test report, so treat this as the publisher’s accessibility claim rather than a verified certification. Likewise, the publisher says the theme checks for updates twice daily because it is distributed outside the WordPress.org theme directory. Its disclosure says update checks send theme, WordPress, and PHP versions, locale, multisite status, and an identifier derived from the site address using the site’s secret key; it says no personal data or site name is sent and describes a filter to disable update checks. These are the publisher’s disclosures, not independently verified telemetry findings. See Colorlib’s current Wemeet page for its stated details.
