Then specify the pages, navigation, controls, visual style, and responsive behavior; generate a first version; and improve it through focused changes. Preview the main tasks on both desktop and mobile, then publish and check the live app. Hostinger’s current documentation increasingly calls the product Hostinger AI Builder and refers to its agentic mode, though some materials and the requested title use “Horizons.”
How do I design a web app with Hostinger Horizons?
Start with the user’s task, not a color palette. A prompt that explains the audience, the problem the app solves, and the actions people need to complete gives the builder a more useful foundation than “make a clean, modern app.” Hostinger recommends an initial description of two to five sentences, followed by focused changes. Treat that as a practical workflow, not a promise that the first result will be correct. See Hostinger’s getting-started guidance.

For example, a volunteer scheduling app might need to let coordinators post shifts, let volunteers claim or cancel them, and show upcoming commitments. Those tasks suggest what the app needs: a schedule view, clear availability states, a sign-up action, and confirmation after a change. Only after those essentials are clear should you describe the visual treatment.

Turn the idea into a short brief
Before prompting, write down the app’s audience, main task, essential features, and key screens. Be explicit about what happens after someone uses a control. “Include a booking form” is less informative than “let a customer choose a date, submit contact details, and see a confirmation or a clear error if a field is missing.”

- Audience: Who will use the app, and what do they already know?
- Main task: What is the most important thing users need to accomplish?
- Pages and content: Which screens or sections are essential?
- Interactions: What should buttons, forms, filters, and links do?
- Visual direction: What hierarchy, layout, typography, and color roles support those tasks?
What should I include in my prompt?
Describe a design system in plain language rather than relying on a mood word such as “sleek.” Say how users move through the app, what deserves visual emphasis, and how the interface should behave on a small screen. For example, request a persistent top navigation for the main sections, one prominent primary action, and a readable content area with secondary actions visually distinct from the primary one.
Make hierarchy, typography, and controls concrete
Ask for body text that is easy to read, a clear difference between page titles and supporting information, and consistent spacing between related elements. Hostinger’s design tutorial recommends using one or two font families and making hierarchy, buttons, and spacing explicit. Any pixel measurements shown there are examples to adapt to the app, not universal usability standards. The same tutorial discusses design prompt details and readability at Hostinger’s web app design guide.
Describe controls by their purpose: label the action in language users understand, distinguish primary and secondary buttons, and request useful feedback after an action. Avoid depending on color alone to communicate status; pair color with a label or other clear cue where appropriate.

A screenshot, sketch, or wireframe can explain page arrangement more efficiently than a long description. Tell the builder what to take from it—for instance, grouped dashboard cards or compact navigation—and ask for original styling. Hostinger advises using existing products for inspiration rather than copying their designs or functionality directly. Visual references are one input; they do not replace a description of the app’s tasks and behavior.
A reusable first prompt
Adapt this example to your project, replacing the bracketed phrases with your own requirements:
Create a browser-based [app type] for [audience] to [main task]. Include [essential features and pages]. Use [navigation and layout], a readable [font/style] system, and [color direction]. Make the interface responsive and keep the design original.
This gives the builder both product context and interface direction. If the result misses a requirement, identify that specific issue rather than rewriting the entire brief without saying what needs to change.

How do I make the generated app easier to use?
Inspect the first version as a user would: try to complete the main task, notice where you hesitate, and make one targeted request at a time. “Make this better” does not identify a problem. “Make the primary action easier to find while preserving the current page structure” does.

Hostinger recommends specific, actionable feedback and cautions that large prompts asking for many changes at once may be less accurate or efficient. If one element needs adjustment, use the product’s selection-based targeted editing feature where it is available. Keep each request focused enough that you can tell whether the change fixed the issue.
- “Increase contrast on the primary action and keep the existing layout.”
- “On the dashboard, group overdue tasks above completed tasks.”
- “Add a clear success message after form submission and explain which fields need correction when submission fails.”
- “Improve the mobile layout so the main task is visible without horizontal scrolling.”
These are examples of focused requests, not guarantees of a particular generated result. Hostinger’s prompt guide describes the short initial brief, one-change iteration, visual inputs, and targeted edits at its getting-started page.

Judge behavior as well as appearance
A polished screen can still be hard to use if a navigation item leads nowhere, a form gives no feedback, or the next step is unclear. Run through the app’s most important task and check that each control behaves as its label suggests. Look for readable text, sensible grouping, visible focus and status cues, and feedback after actions.
Generated results may vary. Hostinger’s technical guide explains: “Because Hostinger AI Builder uses a probabilistic AI model, the output is generated based on probability rather than a fixed set of rules.” That is why a prompt should be followed by inspection and refinement rather than treated as a precise specification. See Hostinger’s technical specifications for agentic mode.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsHow do I preview the app on mobile and desktop?
Use the preview’s device toggle to inspect the interface at mobile and desktop sizes. Hostinger’s product overview documents mobile preview and visual references as part of the workflow: Hostinger AI Builder overview. A preview is most useful when you test a task, not just glance at the page.
Best Value
- Open the preview and select the desktop view. Complete the app’s main task from beginning to end.
- Switch to mobile view and repeat the same task. Check that important content remains readable and that controls do not require horizontal scrolling.
- Try forms, navigation, and other essential actions. Confirm that labels, success states, and error messages make sense.
- For each problem, make one specific edit, then preview the affected screen and task again.
Check the screens users actually need rather than assuming a good-looking home page means the whole app works. The builder’s output is generated rather than fixed, so treat the preview as something to verify on the version you intend to publish.
How do I publish the app and check the live version?
Previewing and publishing are separate steps. Hostinger’s publishing guidance says a new project remains private until its first publication, and changes made afterward need to be published to appear on the live site. Follow the current publishing controls in the builder, then open the public page in a private or incognito browser window to check what visitors can see. The current instructions are at Hostinger’s publishing guide.
If the site is not reachable on a custom domain, check that the domain is configured correctly and allow time for DNS changes to propagate. A working preview alone does not establish that the public address is set up or that unpublished edits are live.
What to know about the product’s scope
Hostinger’s current materials describe AI Builder agentic mode as supporting text or voice prompts, visual references, and a mobile preview. The overview says the system typically uses Node.js for the backend and React/Vite for the front end, while users can request specific technologies. It also lists exclusions such as native iOS and Android apps, trading or banking applications, browser extensions, and 3D games. These are product statements, not independent performance findings; consult the current product overview for details because capabilities and labels can change.
