SecurePush already checked changed code before a Git push. The project’s next question was not how to replace that scanner, but what should happen if it remembers? Its companion, Hindsight, is described as retrieving relevant history from earlier reviews—context for a new check, not a verdict on the code being pushed.
What SecurePush does before a push
In the workflow described by K. Chandini Subudhi, a developer runs git push and SecurePush reviews the changed code before it reaches the remote repository. If it identifies a problem, it explains the issue and proposes a fix. The developer can accept or reject that proposal; when a fix is accepted, the described workflow applies and verifies the change, then allows or blocks the push. What happens if it remembers?
Hindsight can search earlier security-review history for context relevant to a later change—for example, a previous issue associated with a file or a remediation the developer accepted. That history can help the reviewer understand what happened before, but it does not establish that the old issue remains in the current version. The author puts the distinction plainly: “The current code is still checked.”

That separation matters: historical context may inform a review, while the changed code still needs a fresh examination. Remembering an earlier finding is not the same as detecting it again, nor does it prove that a past fix remains effective.
What the project says it remembers
The author describes retained review information as events and outcomes, rather than the secret itself. The remembered details may include the issue, affected file, severity, proposed fix, the developer’s decision, verification result, and push outcome. The author also says passwords, API keys, and other credential values are sanitized rather than retained.

Can users inspect the memory?
Subudhi describes a Memory section where users can inspect remembered events, decisions, remediations, and verification results. Making the record visible gives a user a way to see what the system says it has retained, rather than treating memory as an entirely hidden backend feature.

What this account does—and does not—establish
The author says SecurePush was built while preparing for HackWith Hyderabad 3.0. The source presents a project account, not an independent product evaluation. It does not establish scanner accuracy, vulnerability-detection or false-positive rates, the security of stored memories, deployment status, adoption, or comparative performance. The article’s search result showed “Posted on Sep 30” without a year, so a publication year cannot be stated.
