Contemporary coverage did not identify a notable new feature or publish a Beta 2-specific list of bug fixes. The safest description is a maintenance-focused developer build whose individual changes were not publicly itemized at the time.
What’s new in watchOS 11.5 Developer Beta 2?
No Beta 2-only feature has been reliably documented. MacRumors’ April 14, 2025 report said the early watchOS 11.5 betas had no notable new features and characterized Apple’s likely focus as under-the-hood performance improvements and bug fixes. That is general reporting about the beta cycle, not a confirmed change list for Beta 2.
The beta was available to registered developers through the software-update controls on a paired Apple Watch or its connected iPhone. Apple did not publish a Beta 2 build number in the sources available for this historical snapshot.
What bugs did watchOS 11.5 beta 2 fix?
The reviewed sources do not establish any specific fix as having been introduced in Beta 2. Apple’s watchOS 11.5 release notes do list a resolved StoreKit issue: isEligibleForIntroOffer(for:) returns false when no user account is signed in. Those notes describe the 11.5 SDK and do not date that resolution to Beta 2, so it should not be presented as a confirmed Beta 2 fix.

Beta 2 versus the public watchOS 11.5 release
| Item | Developer Beta 2 | Public watchOS 11.5 |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | Seeded to registered developers on April 14, 2025 | Released to the public on May 12, 2025 |
| Build identity | Not stated in the reviewed Beta 2 coverage | Build 22T572 |
| Documented user-visible changes | No Beta 2-specific feature list was established | Pride Harmony watch face; Buy with Apple Watch for Apple TV content purchased on a third-party device; and a fix for an iPhone notification that could fail to appear when the Apple Watch was fully charged |
| Attribution of those changes | Not established | Documented for the final release, without evidence showing which beta introduced each item |
The three features and fixes in the final-release row must not be retroactively labeled as Beta 2 changes. A feature can appear in a later beta, change during testing, or be added only for the public release; the available reporting does not identify that timeline.
How to install the update
During the developer beta cycle
Registered developers could download the beta from the software-update settings on the paired devices. Beta software can contain unresolved problems, so installing it on a primary watch may affect reliability, battery life, or app compatibility.

For the public watchOS 11.5 release
MacRumors reported the final-release path as Watch app on the connected iPhone → General → Software Update. The watch must have at least 50 percent battery and remain on its charger while the update installs. A charger is an installation requirement, not an indication that readers need to purchase a new accessory.
What this means for readers looking for a changelog
- Beta 2’s confirmed news is its April 14, 2025 developer seeding, not a named feature.
- No reviewed source provides a trustworthy, Beta 2-specific bug-fix list.
- The StoreKit correction belongs to the 11.5 SDK notes, but its position in the beta sequence is unspecified.
- The Pride Harmony face, Apple TV purchase capability, and full-charge notification correction are final-release items, not proven Beta 2 additions.
The Bottom Line
watchOS 11.5 Developer Beta 2 was a documented developer release, but not a documented feature drop: no Beta 2-specific features or fixes were publicly enumerated in the contemporaneous sources. Keep its timeline separate from the final May 12 release and its build 22T572.
