In Warzone Season 06’s Haunted Hollow, activate a signal as the Ghost Train approaches, board after it stops and becomes real, then roll the Mystery Box on a rear carriage. The Ray Gun is a random reward, not a guaranteed drop, and you must claim it before the train’s loot opportunity disappears.
What you need to know first
This Easter egg is tied to Haunted Hollow, the Season 06 Halloween version of Haven’s Hollow. Season 06 launched on September 17, 2026, according to Call of Duty’s announcement. The official Season 06 patch notes say the Ghost Train circles the map at the start of each match; activating a signal stops it and phases it into reality, revealing loot and a Mystery Box.

The box gives random rewards. The official notes and a current AllThingsHow guide updated September 19, 2026 do not establish a Ray Gun probability, a fixed number of spins, or an exact claim timer. Plan for an uncertain number of rolls and a limited window to collect anything you want.
How to get the Ray Gun
- Enter a Haunted Hollow match. The activity is specific to this Season 06 map. The September 2026 guide says it can be attempted in Casual or standard Resurgence playlists, but playlist availability can change; check the current in-game playlist list.
- Find the Ghost Train and follow its route. The guide describes two possible paths: a west-to-east line past Lumbermill, or an eastern route past Coal Depot toward Mansion and Research. Watch the train in your match rather than committing to a route in advance.
- Get to a signal lever on the train’s path. The guide lists sites at Train Station, between Main Street and Riverboat, Lumbermill, and Coal Depot. Choose the one that best intersects the train’s route.
- Activate the signal while the train is still approaching. The guide advises pulling the lever before the train gets close; if you signal too late, it may pass through. The official patch notes confirm that a signal makes the train stop and phase into reality, but do not specify this timing advice.
- Board when the train becomes solid. Look for the Mystery Box on a rear carriage, as described in the guide. The official notes say the box is marked by a beam in the sky and an icon on the Tac Map, which can help you locate it.
- Roll the Mystery Box and watch for the Ray Gun. Keep spinning while the train’s loot is available. Each result is random, so a roll may produce something else. When the Ray Gun appears, collect it promptly: the official notes warn that an item must be claimed before it disappears.
If the Ray Gun does not appear
There is no substantiated alternate method for this Haunted Hollow activity in the cited sources. If the train turns ghostly and leaves before you get the Ray Gun, the September 2026 guide recommends following it to another signal and trying again. Use the lever that best matches its route in that match; the box does not guarantee the Ray Gun, so another attempt may also produce a different reward.
