As of October 13, 2026, WARDOGS has confirmed its general teamplay-cash system and the October 15 start of Season 2. A PC Gamer report says Season 2 will add cash and XP incentives for choosing Blue, but neither the reward values nor the rules for qualifying and receiving them have been published in the available official material. Selecting Blue should therefore be treated as a reported promotion, not a guaranteed payment schedule.
What is confirmed about WARDOGS team rewards
The official WARDOGS website describes a persistent cash system in which teamplay actions earn money. Its wording is broad—“Every teamplay action you perform rewards cash”—and the examples are specific: reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies to the zone, and controlling the objective.

The same official page says players begin with $10,000. That is the game’s general starting cash, not the amount of any Season 2 Blue-team incentive. No official page in the available material assigns a separate dollar value to choosing Blue.
The official Steam listing identifies October 15, 2026 as the start of Season 2. A Season 02 Preview announcement on that listing is dated October 9, 2026. This establishes when the season is scheduled to begin, but it does not itself provide a complete reward rulebook.

What the Blue-team promotion is—and what it is not
PC Gamer reported on October 9 that Season 2 would offer cash and XP incentives to players who choose the Blue team. The report also said the size of the boost was unclear. That makes the promotion a credible piece of launch information, but it remains secondary reporting unless and until BULKHEAD or an in-game notice publishes the terms.
There are three important limits to the report:
- It does not publish a confirmed cash amount.
- It does not publish a confirmed XP amount or explain how the XP is calculated.
- It does not say when the reward is credited or what a player must do after selecting Blue.
Do not confuse the reported Blue incentive with the $10,000 starting balance. The starting balance applies to the game’s general economy; the Blue promotion, if implemented as described, would be a separate seasonal incentive.

How the confirmed general cash system works
Actions that earn cash
The official examples point to useful actions performed for the squad rather than simply being present in a match. Reviving a squadmate, moving friendly players to the zone, and controlling the objective are all named as cash-earning teamplay actions. The wording does not publish a per-action price, a cap, or a multiplier, so you should not assume that each example pays the same amount.

The $10,000 figure is a starting amount. It should be recorded separately from money earned through teamplay because a starting balance does not reveal the value of an individual revive, transport, or objective capture. The official page does not state whether the starting amount changes between seasons or editions.
What is still missing from the general rule
The public description does not specify whether cash is awarded immediately, at the end of a round, or after returning to a menu. It also does not state how failed actions, interrupted revives, abandoned matches, or contested objectives are treated. Those details should not be inferred from the examples.
Blue-team eligibility: the questions that remain open
Choosing Blue may be the trigger mentioned in the PC Gamer report, but the available material does not establish that selection alone is sufficient. A seasonal promotion could require additional participation conditions, and none have been confirmed here.
In particular, no published rule answers whether a player must:

- Complete the match rather than leave early;
- Play for a minimum number of minutes;
- Perform a teamplay action;
- Reach a personal or team objective;
- Choose Blue before a deadline or during a specific event window;
- Have an account, platform, region, or mode that is eligible; or
- Claim the reward manually after the match.
Until an official announcement or in-game notice states otherwise, treat all of those conditions as unknown. In particular, do not promise readers that selecting Blue once guarantees either payment.

Cash and XP amounts: why no number should be quoted
The only published cash figure in the available official material is the $10,000 starting balance. PC Gamer explicitly reported that the Blue-team boost size was unclear. Quoting a different cash amount would therefore turn an unresolved detail into a false specification.
XP is even less defined. The available information does not say whether the incentive is a flat award, a percentage multiplier, a temporary rate increase, or XP tied to particular actions. It also does not identify which progression track receives the XP. A player should not assume that a cash reward and an XP reward use the same trigger or are credited at the same time.
If a later official notice gives values, check whether they are per match, per day, for a one-time event, or subject to a cap. A number without that qualification can be misleading even when the number itself is genuine.

When should rewards arrive?
No delivery time is established. The available pages do not say whether cash or XP appears during the match, on the results screen, when the next lobby loads, after a server-side delay, or through a later grant.

That uncertainty matters when checking a missing reward. A balance that has not changed immediately is not proof that the promotion failed, just as a changed balance is not proof that the change came from the Blue incentive rather than ordinary teamplay earnings. Until the game publishes a timestamp or event log, the safest approach is to document before-and-after values and keep the match context.
How to verify your reward without guessing
These checks do not assume a particular menu layout. They are a practical way to distinguish the reported promotion from normal cash and XP changes when Season 2 is live.
- Record your baseline. Before selecting a team, note your visible cash and XP values. If the game shows a progression level, record that as well.
- Capture the selection terms. Read the Blue-team selection screen, event banner, or notice. Save a screenshot or copy the exact wording, including any dates, caps, or participation requirements.
- Record your activity. Note the match mode, whether you completed the match, and any teamplay actions you performed. This helps separate ordinary teamplay cash from a seasonal grant.
- Check after the match. Compare the cash and XP values after the results or return-to-lobby sequence, wherever the game displays them. If nothing changes immediately, do not assume a final denial when no timing rule has been published.
- Keep the match identifier. Preserve the date, approximate start time, platform, and any visible match or transaction identifier. Those details are useful if support later asks for evidence.
- Compare repeated outcomes carefully. A second match may produce a different result because teamplay actions, match completion, or event limits differ. Do not generalize from one observation to a universal payout rule.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Assuming Blue selection is a guaranteed claim
The report describes an incentive for choosing Blue, but the eligibility conditions are not published. Avoid spending money or planning a progression route on the assumption that one selection guarantees a fixed return.
Using the starting balance as the promotion value
The $10,000 starting cash is a general game figure. It is not evidence of the Blue reward and should not be used as a substitute for an undisclosed incentive amount.

Attributing every cash change to the event
Revives, transports, and objective control already generate cash under the general teamplay system. A post-match increase may include those earnings even when no seasonal bonus is applied.
Reading a delayed grant as a failure
Because no delivery schedule is stated, an immediate absence of a reward cannot establish that you were ineligible. Record the evidence and look for an official notice before drawing a conclusion.
Treating secondary reporting as final terms
PC Gamer is useful for identifying the reported Blue incentive, but it does not replace an official rules post. If the game’s notice conflicts with the report, follow the current official in-game or publisher statement and note the date.
What to look for in an official update
A complete rules announcement should answer the unresolved questions in plain terms. Look for the team-selection window, eligible modes and regions, whether selection must be retained, minimum participation or completion requirements, cash and XP values, caps or repeat limits, and the exact point at which rewards are credited.
It should also identify whether the incentive is automatic or requires a claim, and explain what happens after a disconnect, a cancelled match, or a server interruption. Until those items appear in a BULKHEAD announcement, official FAQ, or in-game notice, they remain unverified.
Bottom line for players deciding whether to choose Blue
Choosing Blue may be worthwhile if you already want to play that side, because a seasonal cash-and-XP incentive has been reported for Season 2. The confirmed benefits today are narrower: WARDOGS rewards ordinary teamplay actions with cash, players start with $10,000, and Season 2 is scheduled for October 15, 2026. The Blue reward’s amount, eligibility test, XP accounting, and delivery time are not published. Make the choice for gameplay reasons first, then verify any bonus against the official notice shown when the season launches.
