Those are the targets published on Steam, not guaranteed results for every computer. Check your CPU and graphics card as well as your RAM, operating system, storage and internet connection before deciding whether your PC meets either tier.
WARDOGS system requirements at a glance
The Steam listing identifies WARDOGS as an Early Access online PvP game developed by BULKHEAD and published by Team17. The requirements below are the listing’s published hardware tiers, checked October 13, 2026. Because the game is in Early Access, its requirements and performance may change.

Steam’s listing is the source for these requirements and targets. It does not provide measured frame rates for every graphics card or a benchmark method that would let you predict an exact result for an unlisted PC.
What the minimum and recommended targets mean
Minimum: 1080p Low at 60fps with upscaling
The minimum tier is associated with a specific combination: 1080p output, the Low preset, a 60fps target, and upscaling. “Minimum” does not mean that the listed parts guarantee that frame rate in every scene or configuration. Nor should the target be read as 1080p at 60fps without upscaling; that would omit a stated condition.

Recommended: choose between two targets
The recommended tier gives two alternatives. One is 1440p at Medium settings and 70fps or more using native rendering. The other is 4K at Medium settings and 60fps or more with upscaling. The resolution, preset, frame-rate target and native-or-upscaled condition belong together: the 4K target is not stated as native, and the 1440p target is.
Upscaling renders an image at a lower internal resolution and reconstructs it for the selected output resolution. The listing does not identify a specific upscaling technology or describe its settings, so the target alone does not establish which feature to select in-game or how image quality will compare on a particular system.

How to check whether your PC meets a tier
- Check the operating system and processor. In Windows, open Settings > System > About and note the Windows edition, system type and processor model. The listing specifies 64-bit operating systems; compare the full processor name with the relevant row above.
- Check memory. In Settings > System > About, note the installed RAM. Both published tiers call for 16 GB, so meeting the memory figure alone does not establish that the rest of the PC meets a tier.
- Identify the graphics card. Open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc, choose Performance, and select GPU. Compare the displayed card model with the named option for the tier you are assessing. If Windows shows more than one GPU, identify the model that will run the game rather than relying on a generic label such as “graphics.”
- Check available storage. In File Explorer, open This PC and look at the free space on the drive where you intend to install the game. The listing specifies 50 GB available; it does not state additional space for future updates.
- Confirm your connection. Both tiers call for broadband internet because WARDOGS is an online PvP game. The listing does not publish a minimum download speed, upload speed, latency, or packet-loss figure, so it cannot establish whether a particular connection will provide a good match experience.
- Compare the whole configuration. Treat a tier as a set of listed requirements, not a graphics-card-only test. If one component falls below the tier’s named part, Steam’s table does not say what frame rate the PC will achieve.
How to interpret a partial match
A PC may have a graphics card from one tier and a processor, operating system or memory configuration that differs from that tier. The published table does not explain how to combine parts across tiers, rank unlisted processors or cards, or translate a partial match into an FPS estimate. In that case, the accurate conclusion is that the system does not exactly match the published tier—not that it will or will not run well.
Likewise, a desktop and a laptop carrying similar product names should not automatically be treated as identical. The Steam listing names graphics-card and processor models but does not specify laptop variants, power limits or a test configuration. A model name by itself is not enough evidence for a precise performance prediction.

What the requirements do—and do not—tell you about performance
- They provide two reference configurations. The minimum and recommended rows describe developer-published tiers, with different performance targets.
- They do not promise identical results across PCs. The listing does not publish measured results for every combination of hardware, nor a guarantee for a particular build.
- They do not give an FPS figure for unlisted hardware. Avoid assigning a precise frame rate to a GPU or processor that does not appear in the table based on these requirements alone.
- They do not settle every gameplay setting. The target rows name resolution, preset, frame rate and upscaling condition, but do not provide detailed benchmark settings or match conditions.
For a meaningful estimate beyond the published targets, the complete PC configuration and the game build would need to be tested under comparable settings and match conditions. Since WARDOGS is in Early Access, a result for one build should not be assumed to describe later builds.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Should you upgrade to meet the recommended tier?
The recommended row names an RTX 3070 or Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card alongside its processor, memory, operating-system and performance-target requirements. That makes those models useful reference points when comparing a PC with the published tier; it does not mean every player must upgrade, and it does not guarantee the target in every machine using one of those cards.

Before spending money, compare every part of your PC with the tier and decide which target matters to you. If your system is not an exact match, the available specification table cannot tell you which single upgrade would deliver a particular frame rate. It also does not provide current hardware prices or a tested upgrade recommendation.
