Vivo’s India store still shows an ₹25,990 MRP, but the listing is marked unavailable. In 2026, it makes sense only as a substantially discounted, carefully checked used or refurbished phone—not as a near-MRP new purchase.

Price and availability
The Y75 5G launched in India in a single 8GB/128GB configuration for ₹21,990, according to Gadgets 360’s launch report. Vivo’s official store listing shows ₹25,990 including taxes, but the product is marked unavailable: Vivo store listing.
Those are three different signals: the launch price is historical, ₹25,990 is an official list-price reference, and neither confirms that a new unit can be bought today. Used and refurbished prices vary by seller and condition, so a fair current price cannot be stated without checking a live listing.
Design and display
The phone is 8.25mm thick and weighs roughly 187g, making it relatively manageable for a 5,000mAh device. It has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and comes in Starlight Black or Glowing Galaxy.

Its 6.58-inch, 2408 × 1080 LCD/IPS panel provides a sharper FHD+ image than basic HD+ budget screens. The large surface works well for video, reading and social apps, and Vivo advertises eye-protection and high-colour-saturation features. It is still an LCD rather than an AMOLED: blacks and contrast will not match OLED, and the available official specifications do not establish a 90Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. Brightness and outdoor readability need to be checked on the individual handset.
Performance: suitable for everyday use, not modern heavy gaming
MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 is a 7nm, entry-level 5G platform from the phone’s 2022 generation. It is appropriate for calls, messaging, social networks, streaming, navigation, banking and ordinary productivity. Casual games should be comfortable, while demanding 3D titles may need reduced graphics settings.

- Folding multi-angle support, you can adjust the support angle according to the use of the scene
- PC hard back panel + soft silicone frame + four corners Shock Airbags
- The frosted surface effectively prevents most fingerprints, and the carbon fiber texture design is stylish
- Case is higher than the camera as well as the screen, providing better flat protection
The advertised “8GB + 4GB” does not mean 12GB of physical RAM. The phone has 8GB physical memory; Vivo’s Extended RAM 2.0 reserves up to 4GB of internal storage as virtual memory. That can help with app retention, but it is slower than real RAM. On a used phone, storage wear, background software and battery condition can affect smoothness as much as the original chipset.

The rear system consists of a 50MP primary camera, 2MP bokeh/depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor; the selfie camera is 16MP. There is no ultrawide camera in Vivo’s listed specification.

The 50MP sensor is the most important camera for daylight photographs. The two 2MP units add portrait-depth and close-up options, but their low resolution limits their practical value. Vivo advertises Super Night Mode, portrait processing and a 4cm macro mode on its product page; those are feature claims, not independent proof of night detail, HDR, colour, autofocus or edge separation. Check the camera app and sample images if photography is a priority. The official pages used here do not provide a complete, independently tested video or stabilisation assessment.
Battery and charging
Vivo specifies a 5,000mAh typical battery and charging up to 18W, with a standard Vivo charger listed for the India package. The capacity remains useful for basic daily use, but 18W is modest compared with newer phones. Actual endurance depends on brightness, 5G reception, gaming, background apps and battery age; a second-hand unit may have substantially less capacity than when new.

Software: documentation does not agree
The software version requires verification rather than a confident single answer. Vivo’s current India store page lists Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11: official listing. Contemporary launch coverage from Gadgets 360 and India Today described Android 12, while Moneycontrol reported an Android 11-based version. Check Settings → About phone on the exact handset. No model-specific current Android or security-update commitment is established here.
5G, SIMs and storage expansion
The India store specification lists dual Nano-SIM dual standby and 5G NR band n78, along with 4G bands B1, B3, B5, B8, B38, B40 and B41. It also lists USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.0 and common satellite systems. A 5G label does not guarantee compatibility with every operator: buyers outside India, especially in the United States, should verify the exact model number, carrier certification, VoLTE/VoNR behaviour and required bands.
Vivo lists microSD support up to 1TB. Confirm whether the individual tray is hybrid or allows two SIMs and a card simultaneously. The 1TB figure is a manufacturer-supported maximum, not a guarantee that every card will behave identically; demanding apps and games are better kept on internal storage.

Advantages and compromises
What still works in its favour
- FHD+ resolution on a large 6.58-inch display
- 5,000mAh battery
- 8GB physical RAM and microSD expansion
- Basic 5G connectivity through the Dimensity 700 platform
- Slim 8.25mm body and side fingerprint reader
What dates it
- 2022 chipset and uncertain long-term software support
- LCD panel with no verified high-refresh-rate specification
- Only 18W charging
- No ultrawide camera and two low-resolution auxiliary cameras
- Unclear new-stock availability
- Conflicting Android-version documentation
Who should buy it?
Consider it only if the price is well below ₹21,990, the unit is new old stock or professionally refurbished, battery health is documented, and you mainly need ordinary apps, a large FHD+ screen, a sizable battery and compatible 5G. Near the ₹25,990 official MRP, it is poor value.
Skip it if you need modern gaming performance, AMOLED contrast, fast charging, an ultrawide camera, guaranteed software support or dependable new-phone warranty. Buyers comparing newer models should treat the Y75 5G as an aging bargain candidate, not a current default recommendation.
Used and refurbished inspection checklist
- Open Settings → About phone and confirm the Y75 5G model name and model number.
- Check the installed Android version, Funtouch OS build and available security patch.
- Test both SIM slots and confirm mobile data reaches the expected 4G or 5G network.
- Inspect the USB-C port for looseness and test charging.
- Test fingerprint unlock, proximity sensor, GPS, microphones, speakers and every camera.
- Look for dead pixels, touch dead zones, scratches or display burn-in.
- Match the IMEI in Settings with the box and purchase documentation.
- Insert a microSD card if expansion matters.
- Ask for a written refurbishment warranty or return period.
- Confirm the phone is not account-locked, financed or remotely managed.
- Reject units showing swelling, overheating or unusually rapid battery drain.
Final verdict
The Vivo Y75 5G was a sensible 2022 mid-range 5G phone, but its age changes the buying calculation. The ₹25,990 Vivo listing is unavailable and should not be treated as a current sale price. Buy only at a substantial discount after checking battery health, software, condition and regional network support; otherwise, choose a newer model with faster charging, stronger update support and current retail availability.
