Which vivo S60 models were announced?
vivo announced the S60 series in China on May 29, 2026, opened pre-orders that day, and scheduled sales to start June 3, 2026. The announced models are the standard vivo S60 and the vivo S60 Vitality Edition. The launch announcement does not identify an S60t variant.

Although some third-party coverage uses “vivo S60 5G,” the official announcement cited here does not provide network-band details or establish international availability. The “5G” label alone is not enough to confirm compatibility with a carrier or country.

The display, battery and charging figures are series-level specifications stated by vivo. The announcement does not give a display resolution, full camera sensor tables, network bands, or independently measured battery-life results.

Display and design
vivo specifies a 6.59-inch display with refresh rates up to 144Hz. It also lists hardware-level low-blue-light support and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. A third-party specifications page lists 120Hz, but that conflicts with vivo’s launch announcement; the official figure is up to 144Hz.
The announced color choices are Starry Sea, Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night. vivo describes a cold-carved glass back and metal frame. For Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night, the company gives a thickness as low as 7.79mm; that figure should not be assumed for every color. The launch announcement does not state the screen resolution or complete dimensions and weight for every finish.

Camera specifications: standard S60
vivo highlights two 50MP cameras on the standard S60: a gimbal-level stabilized main camera with three-degree optical image stabilization (OIS), and a Sony periscope telephoto camera. The company attributes CIPA 5.0 stabilization to the standard model. These are manufacturer-stated specifications, not independent camera-test results.

These imaging features should not be taken as evidence that the Vitality Edition has the same cameras or capabilities: it is a separate model, and the announcement does not provide a complete model-by-model camera table.

Performance, battery and durability
The standard S60 uses Qualcomm’s third-generation Snapdragon 8s mobile platform; the Vitality Edition uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500. vivo lists a 7,200mAh battery, 90W flash charging and a large VC liquid-cooling system for the series. Charging time and real-world battery endurance are not specified in the launch announcement.
Other stated features include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0, and SGS whole-device drop-resistance certification. These are manufacturer-reported ratings and certification references, not a guarantee against damage in every situation.

Software and buying checks
vivo’s launch announcement names OriginOS 6. An October 4, 2026 report says the standard S60 launched with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and that OriginOS 7 rollout was scheduled to begin later. Rollout timing can change and may depend on model and region, so confirm the current software version for the exact handset before relying on update information.

The launch facts here are for China. Before importing or purchasing a listing, check the exact model and seller information rather than assuming that “S60 5G” establishes suitability for your location. In particular, verify:
- Whether the handset’s network bands support your carrier and country.
- Whether the software and available services meet your needs in your region.
- What warranty and return terms apply to an imported China-market phone.
- That accessories are specifically listed as compatible with the exact model.
The cited launch announcement does not establish network bands, international warranty coverage, accessory compatibility, or current availability outside China.
