Visualping Reports: How to Create, Schedule, Review, and Share Them

A practical guide to creating one-time and scheduled Visualping reports, choosing the right coverage and filters, reviewing changes, and exporting results.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Visualping reports are available to users on Visualping for Business plans. To make one, choose the workspace monitors and date range, set the change coverage and filters, then select View Report. For useful results, check the monitor selection carefully: leaving it blank defaults to all active and inactive monitors in the current workspace, subject to the filters you apply.

What a Visualping report includes

Visualping monitors webpages for changes and reports consolidate monitoring activity over a chosen period. A report can show previous and current page screenshots, change markup, monitor details, and an AI summary. You can also filter, sort, comment on, flag, hide, share, and export report entries.

Report generation is documented as a Visualping for Business feature. The interface and plan eligibility can change, so check the current workspace if the Reports area or a control described here is not available.

Create a one-time report

  1. Open Reports. Start from your workspace dashboard or its Reports area.
  2. Choose the monitors. Select the monitors the report should cover. If you leave the selection empty, Visualping uses all active and inactive monitors in the current workspace, subject to later filters. Confirm that this workspace-wide scope is intended before continuing.
  3. Set the period. Choose a preset or custom date range. Check both the start and end dates and times so the report covers the intended checks.
  4. Choose what to include. Select the coverage option that matches your goal; the differences are described below. Decide whether to include errors and whether to show only the most recent alert per monitored page.
  5. Set evidence and filters. Choose whether to include current and previous snapshots and markup. Apply labels, page-status, check-frequency, or schedule-type filters if needed.
  6. Generate and verify. Select View Report. Confirm that the report shows the expected monitors and date range. You can find it in the report options or the History tab.

Choose the right change coverage

Option What it includes Useful when
Changes Changes that trigger alerts. You want a short, alert-focused action digest.
All Changes Changes that may have occurred, including ones that did not trigger a notification. Your team needs to inspect changes beyond alert-worthy items.
All Checks All changes plus checks where no change was detected. You need to show that monitoring ran even when pages stayed unchanged.
Errors Only Checks that produced errors. You are investigating monitor or URL health.

These are coverage choices, not interchangeable descriptions of the same report. If a report appears empty, check the selected coverage as well as the period and monitor scope.

Use filters, snapshots, and markup to make the report useful

Reduce noise with filters

Reports support label filters with OR or AND logic, plus filters for page status, check frequency, and schedule type. Use labels to target a set of monitors; choose OR when any selected label should qualify and AND when all selected labels should apply. You can also include errors and limit results to the most recent alert per monitored page.

Keep visual evidence with the entries

Choose previous and current website snapshots when readers need to compare what changed. Markup can show details such as the monitor title, settings link, check date and time, monitor ID, URL, and change summary. The screenshots and markup help reviewers inspect the underlying change rather than relying only on a summary.

Schedule recurring reports

Visualping supports daily, weekly, or monthly report schedules at a selected time. A scheduled report includes changes since the previous report and follows the timezone configured in account settings; the selected hour may therefore differ from a recipient’s local hour. Visualping’s Help Center guide, edited August 1, 2026, says: “Scheduled reports are sent to you every day, week or month at a given time of day, based on the timezone specified in your settings.”

The same guide documents a limit of up to 10 scheduled reports per workspace. Each can have its own schedule, settings, and filters. Scheduled reports are emailed to all users of the workspace, and the email includes controls to view or edit the report. Check the current interface for the available scheduling controls.

Review changes and collaborate

In the report view, compare previous and current screenshots, inspect markup, and use the AI summary as a navigation aid. For decisions that require evidence, open the relevant entries and review their screenshots and markup rather than treating the summary as a substitute for the underlying changes.

  • Sort and group: sort newest or oldest first, group by job ID, prioritize important or minor changes, or put flagged changes first.
  • Comment and flag: add shared comments or flag an entry for follow-up.
  • Hide noisy entries: hide changes from the active view when they are not useful to current review. Hidden changes remain in report data.
  • Inspect further: use More Options to open job settings or a detailed diff view.
  • Change the view: adjust the workspace or date range in the report view. Use History to find earlier reports by name or date.

Use the report summary thoughtfully

Report Summary & Analysis can generate an overall summary from a prompt. Its default prompt is intended for a high-level overview; a specific prompt can focus the summary on the questions your team needs answered. For very large sets of checks, Visualping may provide a “summary of summaries.” The summary also appears in scheduled report email, and you can regenerate or update it with a new prompt. Visualping’s navigation guide says regeneration can incorporate flagged or hidden entries.

Share or export a report

Visualping documents CSV, Excel, HTML (called WEB in scheduled-email download links), and PDF file options. PDF is available from the web report. Downloads are available from the report-generation view, an open report, or a scheduled-report email. The guides also describe sharing by link or email and printing; use the current in-product controls to confirm which options your account can use.

For a large report spanning many months and hundreds of changes, Visualping warns that a PDF may be blank or incomplete. Shorten the date range or export the data as Excel or CSV instead.

Troubleshoot common report problems

“Report generates but shows no changes”

  • Expand the date range and verify its start and end times.
  • Confirm the intended monitors were selected and that they detected changes during that period.
  • Check that the selected monitors are active rather than paused.
  • Try All Changes if changes may have been treated as routine and excluded from an alert-focused view.

“Scheduled reports are not arriving”

  • Check the scheduled time and the timezone configured in account settings.
  • Confirm that the intended recipients are members of the workspace.
  • Check spam and promotions folders.

“PDF export is blank or incomplete”

For a large report, shorten the date range or export to Excel or CSV rather than PDF.

A monitor’s changes are missing

Verify that the monitor was selected and that it detected changes within the chosen date range. Also review the coverage option and filters, which can exclude entries from the view.

Or skip the browser setup

If you need a screenshot of a webpage rather than a change-history report, ScreenshotNeo offers a website screenshot API and MCP server. Its GET endpoint can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. One cURL request:
