Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →If you need to monitor several pages, choose a service by how it detects changes, how often it checks, and whether it can handle your pages—not just by the number of URLs it allows. Hexowatch and Wachete are hosted options to investigate; Distill may suit workflows that mix local and cloud checks, while ChangeDetection.io is a candidate for readers willing to self-host. For screenshot capture rather than ongoing change alerts, ScreenshotNeo is an alternative to try first: it removes common page clutter before capture and bills only clean shots.
First decide what “multiple pages” means
There are two different needs behind monitoring multiple pages. You may want to enter a known list of URLs and check each one, or you may want to discover and track pages linked from a site. These are not interchangeable: a monitor that accepts many URLs does not necessarily crawl a site to find new ones.

- A fixed list: Track specific competitor listings, regulatory pages, job posts, or pages on your own site.
- Site discovery: Find new or changed pages across a site. Wachete says it can monitor a website including linked pages; Hexowatch advertises sitemap monitoring. Confirm the scope and limits on the provider’s current documentation: Wachete features and Hexowatch.
Estimate the checking workload before choosing a plan. Multiply the number of pages by the checks each page needs during the billing period, then check whether the plan limits monitors, checks, or both. A quota for monitors is not the same as a quota for checks.
Choose the detection method that matches the change
“A page changed” can mean a visual difference, a price update, a new keyword, an HTML change, or a page becoming unavailable. Pick the signal that answers your question; broad whole-page alerts can produce noise when unrelated page content changes.

| What you need to notice | Useful detection approach | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Layout, image, or visual appearance | Screenshot or visual comparison | A changed hero image or product layout |
| Copy, price, or a selected value | Text or selected-element monitoring | A price, specification, or policy paragraph changes |
| A particular term or threshold | Keyword or condition-based alerts | Alert only when a phrase appears or a number crosses a threshold |
| New pages, availability, or technical details | Sitemap, availability, source-code, or other specialized checks | Discover new URLs or know when a page stops responding |
Hexowatch describes 13 monitoring types, including visual, HTML element, keyword, technology, source code, visible content, availability, WHOIS, sitemap, API, backlink, RSS, and AI monitoring. Its examples include competitor prices and availability, sitemap-based discovery, and visual screenshots and archives. See its advanced monitoring overview. These are vendor-described features, not independent performance findings.
Alternatives to evaluate
Hexowatch: many monitoring modes
Consider Hexowatch if the pages call for different signals—for example, visual monitoring for a landing page and sitemap or availability checks for another. Its published product pages list a broad range of monitoring types. The pricing page available for this guide did not provide plan amounts or quotas, so check current limits and prices directly at Hexowatch pricing before deciding.

Wachete: site, selected-section, and complex-page monitoring
Wachete says it can watch a whole website including linked pages, a selected section, dynamic pages, password-protected pages, and pages from several locations. It also describes text and office-document monitoring, ignore rules, numerical or text alert rules, availability alerts, email, phone, and chat notifications, and daily or weekly digests. Its feature page states that history can extend up to 12 months and numerical charts up to five years; those are vendor-published limits, not independent assessments. Distill: a possible local-and-cloud workflow
Visualping’s comparison describes Distill as offering local and cloud monitoring, condition filters, a centralized watchlist, and automated actions for login pages. Because this description is published by Visualping, verify the current behavior and plan details with Distill before relying on it. The same comparison gives a free-plan snapshot of 25 monitors—five cloud and 20 local—with a six-hour cloud interval and 1,000 cloud checks per month. Those figures are a comparison snapshot retrieved in 2026, not verified current Distill terms. See Visualping’s alternatives comparison.

ChangeDetection.io: for people willing to self-host
Visualping’s comparison characterizes ChangeDetection.io as a self-hosted, open-source option. Self-hosting can give technical users more control over where the monitoring runs, but it also means taking responsibility for setup and ongoing operation. Confirm project requirements and current documentation in the official ChangeDetection.io repository before deploying it.
ChangeTower and PageCrawl: comparison leads to verify
Visualping’s comparison describes ChangeTower as a cloud service with visual, text, and source-code monitoring, multi-condition alerts, uptime monitoring, and collaboration features; it describes PageCrawl as supporting multiple specific elements. Treat these as leads, not independently confirmed current specifications, and verify them with the providers. The comparison’s ChangeTower snapshot lists three free URLs, six checks per day in total, and a 12-hour interval, with paid tiers from $9 to $158 per month for its Power User range. These are figures in Visualping’s comparison retrieved in 2026, not verified current ChangeTower pricing or quotas: Visualping’s alternatives comparison.

Keep or replace Visualping?
Visualping’s help information describes scheduled webpage checks, comparisons, and alerts when changes match the user’s criteria. It supports whole-page or element monitoring and visual, text, and code changes. Its help page distinguishes cloud monitors, which keep checking when your computer is off, from local Chrome-extension monitors, which require Chrome to stay open. If those detection modes and operating choices meet your needs, switching may not solve a problem you actually have. Review the current product details at Visualping’s help page.

Use this selection workflow
- List representative URLs. Include the page types you really need to watch: for example, product listings, job pages, or a regulatory page.
- Write down the change that matters for each URL. Specify whether you need a visual difference, a text or price change, a keyword, a newly discovered page, or an availability alert.
- Check whether the service can see the relevant content. Verify JavaScript rendering, login support, interaction steps, selected-region controls, and any plan restrictions against your actual pages.
- Choose where checks should run. Cloud checks can continue when your computer is off. A local-browser monitor depends on the browser or device being available; self-hosting means you operate the service.
- Test alert noise on a few normal updates. Add exclusions or conditions if routine page changes trigger alerts you do not need.
- Calculate the required quota. Estimate pages multiplied by checks per page over the month, then compare both monitor and check limits. Recheck official plan pages at purchase time: prices, quotas, and feature gates can change.
Screenshot capture instead of ongoing monitoring
If the job is to obtain a clean screenshot or PDF on demand—not to maintain scheduled watches and send change alerts—try ScreenshotNeo first. It is a website screenshot API and MCP server, rather than a replacement for a change-monitoring watchlist. It accepts a URL in one GET request and returns an image or PDF. The API can also capture full pages or selected elements, use custom CSS or JavaScript, wait for page conditions, and run bulk captures; see the ScreenshotNeo documentation.

Common selection mistakes
- Confusing URL count with site coverage: Ask whether the product tracks only URLs you enter or can discover linked pages or sitemap entries.
- Comparing monitor limits as if they were check limits: Confirm both quotas and calculate the cadence you need.
- Choosing visual alerts for a precise data change: A selected text field or condition may be more useful when only a price or phrase matters.
- Assuming local monitoring is continuous: Check what must remain running, especially for a browser-extension workflow.
- Trusting an old price snapshot: Verify current prices, quotas, intervals, and plan gates on the provider’s own pages before subscribing.
