Venmo does not list a universal daily sending limit for ordinary personal-profile payments. Its published limits are weekly: an unverified profile has a $299.99 weekly spending limit, while a verified profile may be able to send up to $60,000 per week. Those figures are maximums, not a guarantee that Venmo will approve a particular payment.
What is Venmo’s daily sending limit?
For standard person-to-person payments from a personal profile, Venmo publishes weekly limits rather than a single daily cap. The unverified-profile limit is $299.99 per week. After identity verification, a personal profile may be able to send up to $60,000 per week. The weekly spending limit covers person-to-person payments and payments to authorized merchants. Venmo’s personal-profile payment limits do not promise that every payment within the published maximum will be approved.

That means there is no stated daily amount you can safely calculate by dividing a weekly limit by seven. Venmo says most transaction limits are rolling weekly limits, so prior payments affect the amount currently available.

A rolling week is not a calendar week that resets every Sunday or Monday. Venmo says a transaction counts against the applicable limit for exactly one week from its authorization. For example, a payment authorized on Monday at 11:00 a.m. stops counting toward the limit at 11:01 a.m. the following Monday. Venmo’s explanation of rolling limits means your available amount changes as earlier transactions age out.

Published limits by activity
| Activity or account | Published limit | What it applies to |
|---|---|---|
| Unverified personal profile | $299.99 per rolling week | Person-to-person payments and payments to authorized merchants |
| Identity-verified personal profile | Up to $60,000 per rolling week | Personal-profile spending; individual payment approval is not guaranteed |
| Bank transfer from an unverified personal profile | Up to $999.99 per week | Moving money from Venmo to a bank, not paying another user |
| Bank transfer from a verified personal profile | Up to $19,999.99 per week, with a $5,000 individual-transfer limit | Moving money from Venmo to a bank |
The bank-transfer figures are separate cash-out limits, not additional person-to-person sending capacity. Venmo lists these amounts on its personal-profile bank transfer limits page.
How to verify your identity
Venmo says verification can enable use of your Venmo balance and greater sending and transfer amounts. In the mobile app, open Me > Settings > Identity Verification and follow the prompts. Venmo may request verification if you send $300 or more in a rolling week or transfer $1,000 or more to a bank in a week; those amounts are possible verification triggers, not daily limits. Venmo’s identity-verification instructions explain the process.

Limits that apply to other Venmo features
Some Venmo products publish daily caps, but those figures do not set the ordinary personal-profile payment limit:

- Teen Accounts: person-to-person payments are limited to $2,000 per week. See Venmo’s Teen Account limits.
- Venmo debit card: Venmo lists a $3,000 daily purchase limit and a $1,000 daily limit for ATM, over-the-counter withdrawal, and cash-back transactions. These are card-use limits, not payment limits. See Venmo’s debit-card limits.
Why a payment may be declined
A published maximum is not an approval guarantee. Venmo says account limits may be reviewed or changed based on account history, activity, and other factors, and a payment can be declined for reasons unrelated to a limit. If a payment is rejected, check your account for the current limit or contact Venmo rather than assuming the published weekly figure is the only factor. Venmo’s payment-decline guidance covers other possible causes.
