What is required for the Valor Mortis Platinum?
The Platinum is an all-trophies completion award, so a successful route must combine normal story progress with deliberate cleanup. The boss list is not limited to a single linear ending: it includes the Eternal Guardists requirement separately, and the quest trophies require attention to optional content.
Plan your character and inventory
- Keep resources available to unlock every weapon and Transmutation.
- Choose one firearm, one melee weapon and one Transmutation to take to maximum level.
- Collect every Amber rather than spending materials so aggressively that a later upgrade is delayed.
- Use different weapons during ordinary encounters so Jack-knife can be completed without a risky endgame cleanup run.
Track optional content
Maintain a five-item quest checklist: Laudanum, Curious Case of Seamus Diggory, Deserter, Adjutant and Monster Hunt. Mark each quest only when its completion trophy appears. Separately record every Eternal Guardist defeat; that requirement is distinct from the named boss trophies.

Set up controlled challenge attempts
Several trophies depend on a specific enemy grouping, weapon, status effect or health state. Look for safe encounter spaces and avoid killing the setup enemies before the required equipment is ready. The Blunderbuss, Claymore and flamethrower challenges need multiple targets together; the pistol and headshot challenges reward patience and clear sightlines. For the parry streak, use a predictable enemy and stop after the tenth successful parry if the area becomes unsafe.

Leave deliberate failure conditions for cleanup
Mind the Gap, Rookie Mistake, In the Nick of Time and Fight Fire With Fire are easiest to attempt when you can control the situation. Spend or preserve Ferro Flasks as required, lower health safely before approaching a lantern, and arrange an ignition encounter where the player character and an enemy can burn at the same time. These trophies do not require a full playthrough reset.
