The published minimum and recommended tiers share the same operating system, memory, DirectX version, and storage requirements. The processor and graphics-card models are the differences: the recommended tier lists newer, higher-tier options than the minimum tier.

These labels do not establish a guaranteed experience. The published requirements do not specify a resolution, graphics preset, or frame-rate target, so they cannot be used to promise a particular FPS or visual setting.
Does Valor Mortis require an SSD?
Yes. Steam explicitly marks an SSD as required and lists 50 GB of available space. The specifications do not identify a required SSD format, interface, or speed, nor do they name a particular drive model.

Can your PC run Valor Mortis?
Compare your actual system with the listed tier, especially the processor and graphics card, then check the shared requirements: Windows 11, 16 GB RAM, DirectX 12, an SSD, and 50 GB of free space. Meeting the minimum tier is not a published guarantee of a specific resolution, preset, or frame rate; those targets are not stated in the requirements.
Do not treat the recommended tier as mandatory: Steam lists it separately from the minimum tier. If a component is below the stated minimum, the available specifications do not establish whether the game will run acceptably on that hardware.

Why the requirements may change
The Steam listing warns that the requirements are based on the demo and may change for the final release. In an October 8, 2026 announcement, developer One More Level said the demo levels were bespoke versions and that incorporating full-game optimization improvements, balancing, and bug fixes into the demo was not simple. That explains the demo-spec warning, but it does not establish how final-release performance will compare.
Steam lists October 13, 2026 as the planned release date, and the developer’s announcement also gives October 13 as the launch date. Check the Steam listing for the currently published specifications as the release information develops.
